Hello!
This is Anna with Ecwid, thank you for the reply and for the details.Using the standard Ecwid search tool it is only possible to send the search request to one Ecwid store. So I’m afraid due to this technical limitation it is unlikely that a built-in Ecwid solution for searching across several Ecwid stores can be implemented. I’m sorry for any trouble this causes.
As a possible solution, I’ve found another third-party plugin for WordPress that may help in your case. Here’s a link to the plugin, so please check it out: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-remote-site-search/
I hope this helps.
We are here if you have any further questions.
Hey there!
This is Lucy from Ecwid Customer Care Team. Thank you for contacting us. I’d be happy to help you!
As I understand, you have a WordPress Multisite with individual Ecwid stores on each site in the network and you’d like to use a multisite global search so that your customers could find products that are on other sites of the network, right?
I’ve looked into it and I see that there are some Multisite Global Search plugins created to connect searches inside one network. For example, Multisite Global Search
By Alicia García Holgado: https://wordpress.org/plugins/multisite-global-search/.Are you using something for multisite global search already? Maybe a similar plugin? Which one? We need to know this to find the best solution for you.
Besides, it’s possible to integrate your Ecwid store’s search with the site’s search with the help of our advanced settings in the plugin. Please, see more here: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000633445-FAQ-about-Ecwid-stores-on-Wordpress#sitesearch
Could you also tell me why you need to use Multisite? What is your workflow? If you are using it to have stores in different languages, then I should say we’ve recently released a new feature — Multi-language. It allows displaying your catalog in different languages. Please, check it out: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000070005-Translating-your-Ecwid-store-to-several-languages
Looking forward to your reply!
Hello Helena,
This is Mary with Ecwid Customer Care team.
I’m glad to let you know that the fix has been released by our developers. The problem has been resolved. Please, update the Ecwid plugin to version 6.5.2 and then try using search. Let us know if there are any other issues.
Hello Helena,
Thanks a lot for checking this!
We’ve emailed you with a request of some additional information. Please, check the inbox of the email address, that your Ecwid store is registered to.
Hi Terry,
Ecwid Customer Care Team is here, thanks a lot for your message!
These are warnings telling that some recommended info is missing from the structured data. The warnings are about recommended fields, i.e. they are not compulsory. It means that your products can still be indexed with no problems.
We consider improving the structured data and what info is included about products there. As for the error about the availability, we are going to fix that. We’ll keep you posted on the matter and let you know once the fix is live — stay tuned. Note: at the moment it doesn’t affect your store’s SEO results, as it’s just a recommendation right now.
Please, keep in mind that our Customer Care Team will be happy to help you with any requests you may have. Feel free to contact us directly via live chat/email here: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Thank you!
Hello, thank you for your reply!
Yes, you are right. In this case, customers should choose free delivery from all available shipping methods.
I see your point that it might be confusing for your customers who could choose a paid option instead of a free one. I’m afraid, there is no built-in feature for the purpose. Yet, it might be possible with the help of a custom developed script just for your own store. The script should be based on Ecwid API.
You can do it yourself, hire a developer or contact our customization team at https://ecwidcom.typeform.com/to/vIlijv and they will get back to you with a quote (if it is possible to do using the API).Also, I’ve shared your feedback with our product team, and every piece is thoroughly reviewed. As soon as we have any updates, our team will definitely post them in this thread.
In the meantime, I can suggest you make your free shipping more noticeable. For this, you can use these apps from our AppMarket:
– Free Shipping Bar: Sales Motivator. It shows a motivation bar for your customers about free shipping. Please, visit this demo store https://truecommerce.ecwid.com/ for inspiration.
– Checkout Notices. It allows displaying notes about shipping methods on any page of the checkout process.
Also, you can put your Free Shipping option in the first place in the list of available shipping options at the checkout so your customers can see it at the top and not miss it. You can do it in your Ecwid Control panel > Shipping and Pickup, click “Actions > Sort” and drag and drop shipping to sort.
I hope this information will be helpful.
Hi,
This is Wade from Ecwid Customer Support team, thank you for your question.
As I understand it you wish to use USPS to automatically calculate your shipping rates while also offering the free shipping if the order includes 4 or more items. This can be achieved by adding two shipping methods to your store.
The first one would be for USPS and it’ll connect your store to their postal service so the rates are calculated automatically depending on the location of your store and the customer. You’ll find the detailed instructions on how to configure it here: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/207807355-USPS
As for the second shipping method, it’ll use the custom rates allowing for a free shipping over a certain subtotal. I realise, that it’s not exactly what your question is about but currently Ecwid doesn’t support the choice of the shipping method based on the quantity of items. I’m really sorry for that.
The most optimal way to use the custom rates in your case would be to calculate the average cost of a product in your store and multiply it by 4. Let’s say for instance that it’s $100. Then you can create a new shipping method using the custom rates table. Base it on the subtotal and specify the range so it would start with $100 and offer a zero shipping rate.
The result should look something like this: https://take.ms/9hfCg
And here’s an article that should help you with the custom rates: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000031040-Custom-rates-based-on-subtotal-or-weight
You should add this custom rated method alongside with the automatically calculated USPS method and now your customers will be able to get the free shipping option with the orders above $100.
To let your customers know that such option is available I’d recommend using the Free Shipping app: https://www.ecwid.com/apps/design/free-shipping-icon.
It’ll show the customers that the free shipping method is available for the products of your choice based on the cart’s subtotal.Hope this helps!
Hello!
My name is Anastasia, Ecwid Support. Thank you for your message! The Product Filters feature allows sorting products on the storefront to view the products that meet the criteria the customers select.
However, at the moment, the feature doesn’t change the product image according to the selected options. So, customers should open the product page at first and then choose the options they want. This way the corresponding image will be shown.I’ve forwarded your idea to our Product management team for a review. Thank you!
If any further questions appear – let us know! We will be glad to help!

In reply to: [Ecwid by Lightspeed Ecommerce Shopping Cart] Access For Author RoleHi,
It’s Gunter from Ecwid team.
For security reasons, only a user with the Administrator role can see Ecwid plugin in WordPress. Yet, if you need to grant access to a user with the Author role, there is a workaround. Our plugin is hardcoded to check for the account’s ‘manage_options’ capability in WordPress. And you can download a plugin that edits WordPress roles.
Please note that adding ‘manage_options’ permission to a role will also give them access to your WordPress Settings page
Here’s how to allow the Author role to open Ecwid plugin in WordPress:
— Install the plugin that changes Roles. For example, User Role Editor: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/
— Activate and open the plugin (WordPress admin area > Users > User Role Editor).
— Choose Author role and place a checkmark next to ‘manage_options’ permission. Here’s a screenshot: https://take.ms/4Ilk9
— Click on the ‘Update’ button and confirm the change. After that, the Author role users will be able to use Ecwid plugin.
And you can do the same to individual users, just open Users > All Users page and click ‘Capabilities’ button next to the username, screenshot: https://take.ms/96JwC
You will see a selection of Сapabilities as when editing them for the whole Role.
More about ‘manage_options’ capability you can find here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#manage_options
Hope this helps.

Hi there,
Thanks for the question.
Sure thing! Ecwid uses CSV files for bulk updating such data like orders, products, customers lists.
You can filter the orders by payment status (“Paid”), tick the orders and click Mass Update > Export Selected. You will be prompted to choose the necessary export columns and download the ready CSV file. See this screenshot for more visual details.
Just in case, here is more info on exporting orders: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005900169-Exporting-ordersForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Ecwid by Lightspeed Ecommerce Shopping Cart] User RolesIn addition to the above, we would like to tell you about other ways to enable your client to test Ecwid features.
You can provide your client with the login and password from your Ecwid account and ask them to login via my.ecwid.com page.
In case you do not have a password or cannot remember it you can just click the corresponding section on the log in page and you will receive the email with a link to reset it.
Besides you can create a staff account for your client using the following instruction https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005648365-Adding-staff-accounts-to-your-store-team#q=single%20sign%20on&page=1
Thus, your client will be able to play with the store settings and see if the product suits them without accessing your WordPress admin area.
Hope one of the solutions suits you.

In reply to: [Ecwid by Lightspeed Ecommerce Shopping Cart] User RolesHi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
To have access to Ecwid Control Panel one needs to have Administrator rights. The user with the Editor role will only be able to reach the settings of the store page and manage the display of the widgets.
For example, if they go to the Pages > Store Page > Edit Store they will be able to choose whether to show search, minicart, and category widgets or not and what category should be displayed as the default one.
Hope the above explanation helps. If you have any questions — feel free to contact our support team directly at https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/requests/new#contactForum: Reviews
In reply to: [Ecwid by Lightspeed Ecommerce Shopping Cart] RatingHi! Thanks for rating Ecwid and for your feedback, we really appreciate it.
I would like to let you know that it’s possible to display prices in multiple currencies by means of the Currency Converter app from our App Market: https://www.ecwid.com/apps/customizestorefront/currency-converter-app.
The app defines the location country of the buyer and automatically converts all the prices into their native currency.
