Hi @mgrmn,
If you are running into this problem with the Twitter button, try clearing your browser’s cache and giving it another shot.
If you are still having problems, take a look at this thread for more information and some suggestions.
Let me know if this helps.
Hi again, dt3000 🙂
There is no need to be a developer, but I do understand the hesitation–no worries. We will soon be releasing Shareaholic v7 to the public. Stay tuned! The redesign is pretty awesome if I do say so myself, and I do. o^_^o
To everyone else that reads this thread, there are two changes that have occurred within the past couple weeks:
#1. We switched to Twitter’s new API. This seems to have caused some Twitter authorization tokens to expire and require reauthorization. You can do this by logging into your Shareaholic account and managing your connections on the Connected Services screen of your account settings panel.
* Disconnect your Twitter ID
* Open a new tab and sign in to your Twitter account
* Visit the Apps screen of your Twitter account settings
* Make sure that Shareaholic is not listed in your authorized apps after disconnecting
* Switch back to Shareaholic and reconnect your Twitter account using the ‘Login with Twitter’ button
* If everything goes well, your Twitter account and Shareaholic are now synched.
* Tweet away!#2. Yesterday, we migrated to a new server to improve performance, but we received reports that there were technical issues which arose after the switch. (This is the matter addressed in my post immediately preceding this one.)
Once we have a fix in place, where everything is synched with the new server, things should be back to normal. However, if you find you are still running into a problem with Twitter-sharing, refer to #1.
If that doesn’t work, reach out to us directly by submitting a request through our support center with a description of the problem and your operating system & web browser details.
Hi deaddawgdesign,
I believe we were speaking via email earlier. We’ve just located the problem and are currently testing a fix. Twitter-sharing should be restored to you shortly. Fingers crossed!
@peteratomic
We were alerted to this issue earlier today. It is related to our server migration yesterday. We are actively working to address the problem and should have a fix in place within the next couple hours. Make sure to clear your cache before testing so that you are loading any changes that have been applied. Thanks for sticking with us!Hi again,
Could you please contact us through our support center with a link to this forum thread so that we more easily communicate about your case? I’ll need your IE version number and operating system details. Also, let me know if this problem is happening in any other web browsers (e.g., Firefox or Chrome). Thanks so much!
Hi! Custom Mods are being phased out in our v7 redesign, but you’ll benefit from a greater variety of button styles. If you are interested in being part of our beta test group, please send an email to hello@shareaholic.com with beta test as the subject line. 🙂
Anyone having trouble with the bookmarklet loading, please contact us through our support center with your site’s URL and a description of the problem so that we can collect more information and add you to an open ticket concerning this issue. Thanks!
Hi! If you haven’t already, could you please contact us through our support center? Include a link to this forum post (or a brief description of the problem) along with the URL of a page where I can take a closer look. Thanks!
@drjkiel – There isn’t an option to center Classic Bookmarks in version 6.1.3.8, but you’ll have more control over customization in our v7 redesign that is currently in beta and soon to be released publicly.
scratch that, @dt3000; it was recently removed from our selection list. I apologize for the misinformation. We’ve had a lot of changes in the past couple months.
If you are interested in being a part of our beta test group, please send an email to hello@shareaholic.com with ‘beta test’ as the subject, and we’ll hook you up! 🙂 We’d love for you to join our WordPress publisher community!
Hi @dt3000
We currently have an RSS button available in our SexyBookmarks. This button does not create a feed, but allows your readers to quickly access your feed. However, in our redesigned plugin coming soon in version 7, this button is being discontinued.
Hi! We are so sorry about this. We just received word that this happened to people in our last update, but didn’t realize it’s affected multiple updates. I have informed engineering. We’ve been releasing several enhancements over the past few weeks, many of which were to the Related Content (Recommendations) feature. Unfortunately, there was an oversight concerning the saving of preconfigured settings for enable/disable. Please, accept our apologies for any frustration this has caused you. We’ll be fixing this ASAP. Thank you for reaching out to us. 🙂
Hi! You can use manual mode to position the buttons more precisely anywhere in your theme.
