We have a major update scheduled to be released very soon. In this update, you’ll see a whole new Shareaholic. We’ve put a lot of love into a complete redesign with more options, greater control, improved compatibility, and several other enhancements.
Throughout the year and into the future, we will be continuing to upgrade features and options. We take pride in offering amazing products and services to the community and appreciate your feedback. I’ve relayed your request to the team, and good news! We’re adding this feature to our list of product enhancements to be implemented in a future update.
Right now, we do support automagic translation for tooltips and headline text for the Related Content (Recommendations) feature if a translation is on file. Automagic translation is determined by the viewer’s browser language setting; you can read more about it here and submit a translation here.
Hi Elkana,
Are these the buttons you are referencing? http://cl.ly/image/2r3315240o45
Hi! I responded to you via email a little earlier today. We’ve opened a couple tickets to further review the issues you have reported. Thank you.
Hi! I’m having trouble locating the buttons on your site to test. Could you please uninstall and reinstall our plugin, then direct me to a specific page where the buttons are visible?
Also, please check if you are having the same experience when trying to tweet content from our blog.
Is the same error present in browsers other than IE?
Do you have any unsecure (http) pages from which to check? I’m just trying to narrow down the problem so we can go from there.
Thanks for your assistance!
Hi! It looks like your theme’s CSS is interfering with our CSS. If you check our blog, you’ll see how the popup should appear: blog.shareaholic.com (open any post, buttons are below the content).
Chrome and Firefox have pretty nifty developer tools built right into the browser. My preference is Chrome, but either one will let you take a closer look at which styles are being used for any HTML element on your page. You can right-click the tweet popup window and select Inspect Element to see the HTML and scan the styles applied. Use the toggle to disable styles in your sheet until you identify the problem areas.
Hope this helps!
Hi mmauck,
The new article concerning custom post types is located here: http://support.shareaholic.com/entries/23339402-Custom-Post-Types-in-WordPress
You can use manual mode to place the buttons into only the template files where you would like them to be visible.
Hope this helps! 🙂
Hi! Could you please direct me to your website so that I can check on the problem? Thanks!
Actually, neither… We are currently on version 6.1.3.5. If you are having trouble, I would recommend uninstalling all versions of Shareaholic or SexyBookmarks, then reinstalling our latest release: http://wordpress.org/plugins/shareaholic/
Hi softflip,
We have a major update being released within the next couple weeks. This update should clear up the problem you are reporting, but just in case, I have submitted a ticket for our engineering team to review.
Once we release the update, which is a complete redesign of the entire plugin, if the problem is still present, please give us a head’s up, and I’ll make sure it’s looked into. I really appreciate you reaching out to us and hope you’ll love the upcoming changes to our plugin as much as we do. 🙂
Hi Jack,
You can disable this feature under the Related Content (Recommendations) header of your Shareaholic plugin settings, and welcome to our publisher community! If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach us through our support center for a quicker response: http://support.shareaholic.com/home
Hi! First, check your installed Plugins to verify that you do not have both SexyBookmarks (our plugin’s original name) and Shareaholic activated. You should also empty any caching plugins followed by your browser’s cache. If there is still a problem, I’ll need to take a look at your site. Thanks!
Hi punknomad,
If using our WordPress plugin, please configure your settings in your WordPress admin panel under the Shareaholic plugin dashboard. The Publisher Apps section is currently for configuring our standalone website apps located here: https://www.shareaholic.com/publishers
If you are using our standalone apps and not the Shareaholic WordPress plugin, I’ll be happy to help walk you through the configuration process and answer any questions you have about how to get our website apps on a WordPress site, but if you want a quick and easy install, please use our WordPress plugin and configure through the settings panel that is located under Shareaholic in your WP admin menu: http://cl.ly/image/2G1t1E3J1w2c
You can reach out to us through our support center if you need additional help.
Fantastic! Have a great weekend!
I recently received a case similar to this where the account-holder determined that the issue was related to not having confirmed their account yet. Once they confirmed their account, everything was working as intended.
Could you take a look to see if this may explain your predicament? Also, check if you receive the same error when logged out of your account.
Looking forward to your response.
After receiving this error, please visit shareaholic.com to check if you are signed in. This will help me determine if there is a conflict between our web email app and your account.
