In reply to: [Interactive Image Map Plugin - Draw Attention] PHP-NoticeHi @alexanderkissel,
Thank you for the update. We will investigate this in more detail and will let you know as soon as we have an update to share.
Just to confirm, you should not see any impact to the functionality of the plugin in the meantime.
Thanks,
The Draw Attention Support Team
@jordan31 Thank you for working with us to try to get this working. I’m going to mark this as resolved even though we hit a dead end through email support.
If you’re experiencing a similar issue, please try to go through this list to see if that helps:
- Deactivating all plugins except for Theme & Draw Attention to rule out plugin conflicts.
- Updating all the plugins and Draw Attention to their most recent releases to rule out an issue with old software.
- Switching to a completely different theme to rule out a conflict with the Draw Attention plugin.
- Disabling 3rd party scripts at the request of your team.
- Confirmed that our version of PHP and hosting isn’t causing the issue.
- Check there are no files in the wp-content/mu-plugins directory to rule out a conflict there.

In reply to: [Interactive Image Map Plugin - Draw Attention] Image doesn’t show anymore@mec022 Are you using Autoptimize or Litespeed Cache?
Thank you for reaching out to us through email.
Here’s how to make the image full-screen without and margins and padding:
”
Draw Attention does in fact add a bit of margin to the images. But, it also looks like Elementor has added some gap as well.Firstly, to remove the default margin around the Draw Attention images, please add this bit of CSS to remove it:
#hotspot-1310 .hotspots-interaction {
margin: 0;
}Here is a guide in case you need help adding the CSS: https://wpdrawattention.com/document/customizing-draw-attention-css/
And to remove the gap from Elementor, you’ll need to highlight the section and in the Layout options, select ‘No Gap’ as the Columns Gap Setting:
”Thank you for your patience.
Natalie GMe and the developers took a look at this ticket yesterday and were able to recreate that issue you were seeing. Glad to hear that the RankMath update was able to make things work again on your site!
We’re still planning to update our own plugin to help avoid this type of issue in the future. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
Natalie GHello @tweetychong83
Could you first make sure you’re using the latest release of Draw Attention? (1.9.5)
After updating, if that didn’t help, could you try following this troubleshooting guide: https://wpdrawattention.com/document/disabling-3rd-party-scripts/
Please send us an email at support@wpdrawattention.com if neither of those suggestions fixes the issue.
Thanks,
Natalie G@jstuedemann thank you for contacting us through our email.
For anybody with similar issues using the Themify page builder, the problem was resolved by also setting the ID name for the section not just the Anchor.
The hotspots in Draw Attention aren’t actually links, which is why you don’t see the browser indicate that it’s about to follow a link when you put your mouse over them. We have to simulate a link with JavaScript since the hotspots are actually just paths in a svg.
It seems that Themify allows you to add an anchor to a row, but it does so in a non-standard way, which is why the links from the Draw Attention image can’t work. I think Themify includes some custom code to get that to work, but the developers who built that page builder maybe didn’t consider other plugins that might be relying on the standard way of linking to content within the same page and that they might be breaking those.
When you’re adding an anchor to your rows, please also add the same text as the ID name. That way our links can work
@goldgothe I’m going to mark this as resolved, if you have any other questions please send us an email at support@wpdrawattention.com

In reply to: [Interactive Image Map Plugin - Draw Attention] Image doesn’t show anymoreHello @mec022,
I visited the page you linked using the Safari browser, and found a Draw Attention image at the bottom. Were you able to resolve this issue?
What browser are you using? Am I missing a different image on the page?
Thanks, Natalie G
@kameshvyas I’m going to mark this ticket as resolved, please email us at support@wpdrawattention.com for more questions on the Pro version 🙂

In reply to: [Interactive Image Map Plugin - Draw Attention] misreistration of hot spotsHello @nickchalmers14,
the link attached to this support ticket never worked, it seems like there was some typo in the link. I went to your WordPress profile and found the site with the Draw Attention image: https://parliamentsquareedinburgh.net/?da_image=2593
I can see the misplaced hotspots when I zoom in and out of the page, our developers recently found this bug and updated the plugin with a fix.
Could you try updating to the latest version and see if that helps?
Thanks,
Natalie GWhen you’re editing an Draw Attention image, in the Highlight Styling section there should be a setting called, “Always show hotspots for this image”.
If this option is checked, then the highlightable areas of the image will always be visible, rather than only showing when the mouse is moved over them.
Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂
