HI,
Thanks for the follow-up information! If you suspect another plugin is the issue, the best route to test is to disable all plugins and reenable one at a time to determine which one is causing the interference. Currently, the way to avoid the cache being cleared is to avoid one of the events listed in the documentation. Those rules make sure that you are serving up current cached content to your visitors.

Hi,
If you aren’t doing anything to make the cache update, then only a comment posted would normally cause a refresh. A comment will clear the whole cache.

Are you using Falcon cache stats to determine how long the pages are being cached?

Hi,
Are you able to disable Sitelock temporarily to see if it is conflicting with WordFence?
Try the file manager that HostGator provides to view .htaccess:

Hi,
Do you have any other security plugins enabled? If so, try disabling. They can modify/block access to /wp-admin/ in .htaccess. You can post your htaccess file to PasteBin and provide us with a link if you are unsure. Make sure to remove any personal information.
Thanks,
BrianHi,
If you don’t mind, will you please send an email to samples@wordfence.com with the code you’ve found. We appreciate you pointing out possibly dangerous files and code so we can improve Wordfence.
Thanks!
BrianHi,
You can see all of the feature comparisons of Wordfence Free and Premium at our website.
Unfortunately, rules prohibit us from discussing our paid product on the WordPress forums. If you have questions, please email us at presales@wordfence.com.
Thanks!
BrianHi,
Sorry to hear you’re having some issues getting up and going. First, does your host meet the system requirements? Having plenty of memory is crucial.

Also, you try enabling the java debug console in your web browser and see if there are any errors when you load the page and try to save.
Thanks!
BrianHi,
Are you wanting to make the blocks permanent? If so, block them on the Live Traffic page and then go to the Blocked IP page and click Make Permanent. When you block on the Live Traffic page, the IPs only stay blocked for the amount of time that is set in Options. Does this help?
Thanks!
BrianPat,
Great to hear it’s working. Thanks for the follow-up.

Hi Pat,
It looks like the zip file is not uncompressing. Do you have storage space left on your server? Not enough storage to unzip could be the problem.
Thanks,
BrianHi,
Are you running the latest version of Wordfence? If not, try updating and scanning again.

Hi,
Try removing your email address, saving, and then reading your email address. I’ve seen that correct weird sending issues before.

Hi,
Do you have any other security plugins enabled? If so, try disabling them. Also, make sure your site isn’t blocking access to /wp-admin/ with the .htaccess file.

Hi,
Does anyone else have access to FTP to your site? There is nothing I can think of on our end that would have caused Wordfence to be removed.
Thanks,
BrianHi Connie,
Those warnings look like WordPress’ debug mode. Do you have WP_DEBUG set to “true” in your wp-config.php? If you disable Wordfence, does the WPScope plugin work normally?
Thanks!
Brian
