Hi Beatriz,
You said that you you’ve tried activating/deactivating the plugin. Did you check the option to Remove Table Data? You might want to export your settings if you’ve made a lot of customizations before doing this. Removing Wordfence and table data will give you a clean slate to try installing 6.0.16 from scratch (i.e. not an update install).
configCache.php does not have to do with Falcon Caching. It stores Wordfence configuration variables to speed up performance.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Wordfence Security - Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security] Not WorkingHi,
Wordfence does not do anything about user registration. You’d want to look at a captcha solution or similar.
Thanks,
BrianHi,
It’s OK to have both plugins installed. Make sure you do not enable similar features in both plugins since they may conflict with each other.
Hope that helps,

BrianOk. So you’ve cleaned out the cron jobs then. When you removed WF did you choose the option to remove table data as well? A reinstall at this point should be good. What type of server are you using?
Thanks!
BrianHi,
See the last post in this thread from redconfetti which sounds like a similar issue:

He links to WordPress’ bug tracker and they have slated the issue to be fixed soon in WP 4.3.1.

When you uninstall have you selected the option “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation?” That will clear all the tables. When you reinstall, all new tables will be created.

Hi Sandra,
Here is a previous thread with some suggestions on how to control the size of the database.

BrianHi Louise,
As long as you’ve taken measures to harden your site after the hack, then you should be OK. Take a look at this WordPress article.

BrianYes, the main Wordfence folder needs to be renamed.

Hi Mike,
The way to make the IP’s permanent is to find the IP of the offender on the Blocked IP’s page while they are temporarily blocked and click “Block Permanently.” You can also look in Live Traffic, block the IP, and then go to Blocked IPs and make permanent. You may not want to do this though. The reason we default to non-permanent blocks is because the net is dynamic. IP’s change all the time. You might lock out a bad IP and then it gets reassigned to someone who legitimately wants to visit your site and then they are block.
Hope this helps!

BrianHi Elyssa,
Do you have another browser you can try to confirm the problem? If you suspect Wordfence is the culprit, you can rename the WF folder. Hereβs how: The easiest way to solve this problem immediately is to simply rename the Wordfence folder in your WordPress installation. You can do that as follows:
Connect to your server using the method your normally use to upload files. Most people either use FTP or SFTP to do this.
Rename the Wordfence directory (or folder if you prefer). If your site has the standard WordPress structure, you can do this by simply renaming the following folder: wp-content/plugins/wordfence/Let us know if that gets you back in.
