In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Clean destination before importIn the past the plugin used to delete all content on a website before install. We had many customers that wanted to have certain aspects of the site remain whilst others were replaced. As it has become so much easier to create a clean WordPress install we moved to this model.
If you need a clean target, please ensure that you have a clean install before migrating.
Thanks for the really clear explanation. We’ll look in to the issue and see whether this behavior needs to be changed in the plugin.
In the meanwhile, the workaround is to use find/replace after import to just replace

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Pre-sale Pro questionHi Minimay59
The export to Dropbox is effective in these circumstances. Other alternatives are to use a download manager such as uGet or to download the fila using FTP from the backups folder.
Kind regards
LesleyIt sure does – as long as you have a wordpress install and there are no issues preventing the plugin from working. We have a lot of customers that use the plugin on their own servers and localhosts.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Stuck on Export – 20%Check that your plugin and wordpress are up to date.
Can you check that you have enough space on your server and that you have permissions on your wp-content to 775 recursively
Try an export without plugins (using the advanced options) to identify if there is a plugin causing the issue.
Feel free to email us at supprt at servmask.com if you need more assistance.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Updating templates and database@wilcarter
If you want to make changes locally, you should backup the main site and load that backup locally. Ensure that no changes are made on the main site while you are working on the site offline. Make your changes and then migrate from your local implementation back to the live site. That way you will not lose any data.

LesleyHi Xonium
You can use our tool at Traktor.servmask.com to look in to the file, but unfortunately not to edit it or to remove the php file.
You could install it on a wordpress instance to extract the PHP or send the file to our support team to see if we can assist – you can email support at servmask.com
Kind regards

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Saving export profileHi Spivster
Yes, the plugin will automatically take care of the change from HTTP to HTTPS, as long as the importing site has HTTPS activated.

LesleyHi Cosmicwebservices
Are there any plugins on the site that change the login behavior?
If you could change the name of the plugin file that is causing the redirect (just add an extra character, for example) so that it is disabled, you should be able to log in

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Import stuck at 17%Hi Saranor
Thanks for contacting us here and on our support email.
As suggested there, could you check your error log. Could you also let us know what your PHP version is?
Thanks

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Exporting Theme?Hi goluboy
The plugin has advanced features that allow you to exclude parts of the backup.
Could I suggest that you take a backup that excludes all the options that you don’t require (such as the pages, posts, database, plugins etc), then load the .wpress backupfile to traktor.servmask.com. This is a tool that will allow you to see the contents of the file (we don’t retain a copy) and you can ascertain if the backup is suitable to import to your new site.
Kind regards

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Saving export profileHi Spivster
Thanks for the feedback
Most people don’t use the find and replace as the plugin automatically updates your URLs to the new site.
Can you tell us a bit more about why you use the find and replace function?
Kind regards
