In reply to: Theme not working on subsiteNegotiare,
If you’re using Go Daddy’s Windows hosting, your .htaccess file will have no effect on your content.
My first recommendation would be to move to Linux OS: http://go.me/VW
We have an article regarding how to enable WP Multisites here: http://go.me/VV
If you’d like someone to take a look at your specific URL, you can either post it here, or contact support if you’d be more comfortable that way: http://x.co/heretohelp

In reply to: Masking or Mapping URLI do agree that for SEO purposes, masking is not the optimal choice.
Thank you for pointing that out as the original poster may not have already considered that in his or her decision.

In reply to: Masking or Mapping URLGumba,
Instead of masking the domain rimtrader.org, you could point it to the hosting nameservers and then contact your hosting company to see if they can add it as an aliased domain. I do know with Go Daddy hosting, we can do that. This way both domains point to the same hosting content.
If you forward the domain with masking, it should not affect your hyperlinks however. It would only remain static in the URL window, so the site visitor would not be able to see what links they were actually following.

I believe I’ve already responded to you on another thread. Each issue relates individually to each site’s content and will need to be addressed as such.
Thanks!

In reply to: 3.4.2 Plugins ERROR Disabling themselves automaticallyBuddy,
I did not see how your site was performing prior to the move to Linux, but I’d be curious if you’re still having issues at this time. You’ll absolutely see improved performance running WordPress on Linux. Support definitely provided you with the the correct solution and that would have been my first suggestion as well once it was determined you were on Windows.
If you are still seeing any issues, however, I encourage you to let me know. Reach out to us anytime.

In reply to: Moving from WordPress.com with already registered domainavenua,
If you are still having issues. I can help. If your domain isn’t pointed to your hosting account’s nameservers, then I can help you get it there.
First you need to find your correct nameservers: http://go.me/WU
Once you have your nameservers, you need to point your domain to them: http://go.me/WV
If you have any questions about this process, let me know or feel free to hit up our 24/7 support: http://x.co/heretohelp

In reply to: error establishing a database connection ?–need helpsblake,
I just wanted to follow up and make sure all is OK now.
Also, I’d like to clarify that Go Daddy wasn’t hacked. That was mis-information, so I apologize if someone gave you that impression.
Secondly, you should have received an email after the restore with instructions on how to restore the databases. It does appear the email was sent on 9/25.
Feel free to reply if you’re still having any issues. I’m happy to help.

In reply to: unable to upload media on Windows host- path conflict? We could look at your information on this end, but would need you to submit a ticket (if you haven’t already) http://x.co/heretohelp
Include all of the details in the ticket and you can reply back here with your ticket number so I could take a look.
Is there a reason you’re running WordPress on a Windows hosting platform instead of Linux? Just as a rule, WordPress runs much better on Linux and oftentimes, issues are resolved by moving operating systems. However, if there is a need to be on Windows, I’d still like to help you troubleshoot this issue.

I believe we talked a bit about this on Twitter. Feel free to send me a message there if you’d like to reconsider the options we previously discussed regarding a migration.

In reply to: Still Directing Towards TumblrThat is odd that it would go back to previous settings and definitely sounds like a caching issue. If your nameservers are pointing to ipage, then your DNS settings would be there at the host. You could contact them to have them double check those settings. Support, at the Go Daddy side, can check your nameservers and make sure there’s nothing odd going on here if you like: http://x.co/heretohelp
