In reply to: MySQL ProblemMarisa,
Is the site coming up now? Are you able to get into the admin area?
The error you were reporting can sometimes be corrected by modifying the wp-config.php file.
You can see more information here: http://go.me/W5

Thanks for the update! Glad it’s all working now.
rcrist,
I’m not sure if this is the right thread? I am not familiar with your issue. What is the ticket number from your request?

In reply to: connection reset when attempting to intall wordpressAre you installing WordPress manually or through the Hosting Connection? We’d be happy to troubleshoot the problem with you either way.
The best thing to do would be, if you can, to call support: http://x.co/heretohelp
They can look directly at your account with you and see what’s up or if it’s anything on this end. You mentioned that you’ve tried it on other machines. If it’s working there, it may be a local issue, but we’d be more than happy to talk to you about it and see what we can do to help.

It looks like the images links are referring to the TimThumb plug-in.
Quite a while back, a vulnerability was discovered with TimThumb and the filters mentioned in this blog post may be what are causing the issue: http://go.me/Vl
Updating to the most current version of TimThumb may correct the issue.
You can find the updated version here:
http://timthumb.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/timthumb.php

If you installed WordPress through the Go Daddy hosting connection, you should be able to access the username and password for the admin area there. Here’s how: http://go.me/Vj
Alternatively, you can change your admin password through phpMyAdmin or FTP. This article will show you how: http://go.me/Vi
Hopefully one of these will help you get in. If not, please do contact support. They’ll be happy to assist.

In reply to: Posts not sent to subscribersSorry for the delay in seeing this and reaching out. Are you still having issues? While I can’t guarantee that it’s something we can help with (per your previous convo with Support), I’m curious as to the details of the situation and if it’s something that I may or may not already be aware of.

In reply to: Internal Server errod wordpress and godaddyniyazkollam,
We’d love to help you, but we would need more information from you to troubleshoot. I’d highly recommend submitted a support request here: http://x.co/heretohelp You can respond to this forum post with the Incident number you receive and I can make sure it gets expedited with our advanced hosting team for review.
Regarding the PHP upgrade, all of our customers were notifed months in advance and you are welcome to review more information regarding that upgrade here: http://go.me/Vf
Please do not assume that this is what is causing the issue. We’d truly like to review and see what’s going on before jumping to any conclusions. Once I have your incident number, we’ll be able to dive in a bit deeper and help you out.
Thanks!

In reply to: Installing Multsite on Godaddy subdomainHi!
We don’t recommend using the WordPress SubDomains option with our shared hosting if you are planning on using wildcard subdomains.
That being said, I do notice that you’re mentioning changing your web.config file which leads me to think you may be running WordPress on a Windows Platform. We highly recommend using Linux for WordPress for more efficiency and especially if you’re going to be setting up Multisite.
You also mentioned changes made to your .htaccess file.
It’s important to note that the .htaccess file will not affect anything on a Windows platform. .htaccess is strictly for Linux whereas web.config is strictly for Windows. So, depending which platform you’re on, you’ll only need to use the one related file as the other one will have no effect.
For more information on setting up Multisite on our shared hosting, I recommend reviewing the article found here: http://go.me/VV
If you are, in fact, on Windows and would like to move to the Linux platform, you can find instructions to do so here: http://go.me/VW

In reply to: Trouble establishing GoDaddy/Starfield DatabaseYour database name will most likely contain “hostedresource” but that won’t be the complete name.
It should look something like: xxxxxxx.db.#######.hostedresource.com
This article should help you with finding out the actual name and getting your database set up correctly: http://go.me/VN

In reply to: Unable to use Jetpack on GodaddyI would be interested in knowing if you’ve had any success with the install as there hasn’t yet been a follow-up response to this.
Are you still receiving the same message? Are you installing JetPack through the Go Daddy Hosting Connection? I’d like to troubleshoot to see if we can determine what would cause the errors.

In reply to: [Blip Slideshow] [Plugin: Blip Slideshow] Is There a GoDaddy Fix Yet?edm00se,
I discussed this with our in-house WordPress expert who explained that this plugin relies on the availability of some information that isn’t provided in Go Daddy’s shared hosting environment. Therefore it won’t work there without a rewrite. To that end, I’m going to attempt to contact the plugin’s author in order to discuss possible changes.

Are you comfortable posting your domain names here in the forum? If so, I’d be happy to take a look at your accounts directly so I can investigate.
