A standard uninstall will revert all but the renaming of the database and wp-content (the latter of which should not have been enabled on an existing site anyway).
The backups is an ongoing bug I haven’t had time to crush. It should only send 2 however unless you have database query caching enabled.
As for the IP, what kind of lockouts were they and how far apart were the emails?
That’s normal. It really isn’t all that “secret.” I list it in the dashboard as such simply for lack of a better term. The only time someone would really need it would be if you had a plugin that hard-coded the login URL you could manually edit the code to include the key.
I have been toying with looking at hostnames but it can cause issues in some rather delicate server environments. I will see what I can do with this in future versions.
The only things that wouldn’t reverse in the event of an uninstall are the wp-content and database renaming. Everything else will revert to the way it was.
This has been fixed in the development version
I will take a look. Thanks
The plugin relies on the WordPress ABSPATH variable to determine from where it should start scanning for filecheck. For 404 errors, if your server is configured to redirect all 404 errors to WordPress it will see them (it relies on WordPress to tell it when a 404 has been found). Your host should be able to help you fix the latter if needed.
Does your email have restrictions on file attachments or attachment sizes?
I use W3 Total Cache without issue. You could turn off the option to prevent writing to the wp-config file which should eliminate this particular issue.
3.4 shouldn’t have this issue with normal permissions. The only exception I could see would be on a site with a lot of content where a memory limitation could potentially be reached.
@zhiwan the only issue could be multiple emails if you use database query caching as the plugin relies on a query to determine if certain functions have been complete.
Thanks Dan. The 2 email issue is an ongoing bug I admittedly haven’t had time to tackle. As for the missing content, has this problem reoccured or was it a one-time issue?
Could this be related to the file permissions you listed in another thread?
Did that fix it for you guys? If the system can’t write the file it can’t attach it.
Can you email me at info [at] bit51 [dot] com so I can get some more information about this?
