I’ve been a happy Better WP Security user for some time, and now a strange problem started to happen. At some point, the file change notification utility starts sending “empty” emails (they do have generic text in them, but have no tables showing the actual changes). Those emails come every 5 minutes or so, and eventually the whole server hangs. The way I originally fixed it, is by renaming the plugin folder (to disable the plugin) and killing all processes for the user. After which the server would stabilize and the site would come up. Originally, I thought that the issue had something to do with the new WP version (3.4). After I brought it to 3.4.1 and also updated the plugin, it seemed to work fine again, but this morning the problem came back, and it seems to be even worse. I disabled the plugin for now until the root cause is determined.
