In reply to: Stats not working!!Usually when Stats quits working it’s because of a bug in the theme, a conflict with another plugin, a javascript error or a misbehaving widget. Any of these can cause the Stats code to be left out of the HTML or cause the tracking file not to be loaded. So I’d look at your blog’s HTML and see if it’s being cut off before the footer where the stats code lives. Then I’d check my browser’s console log for errors.
If you post your blog URL I can look into these for you.

In reply to: [WordPress.com Stats] Stats brokeHi, Joan,
Assuming your report refers to the blog linked to your profile, I find everything in order: the stats code is present, the tracking file is loaded, and the views appear in your report.
If this is about a different site, please post the URL.

In reply to: WordPress.com Stats or Jetpack?Jetpack and WordPress.com Stats are essentially the same. However, you should not upgrade to the Jetpack plugin until after you have completed the move to another domain. More details are in your other thread.

In reply to: [WordPress.com Stats] Migrate WP Stats to another self hosted blogIf you migrate to a new domain, the stats migration will be a little bit tricky.
First, get the new domain up and running with WordPress. Then, using the same API key that you used before, activate the WordPress.com Stats plugin. (Not Jetpack.) It should show you a list of other self-hosted blogs attached to your API key. Select the previous domain of your blog and complete the activation.
At this point you should be able to see your old stats in your new dashboard. If so, you can upgrade to Jetpack. If not, immediately contact WordPress.com Support. In your message to Support, include a link to this forum thread, your API key, and the new and old URLs of the blog. They will be able to help you complete the move with a minimum of lost data.

In reply to: Stats have decreased since updating to WordPress 3.2Did you change your theme around the time that your stats began to fall? I checked your HTML and it’s missing the stats code. Usually that means the theme is broken. The FAQ has more details on this.

In reply to: Does WordPress Track Our Own Site Views? (STATS)The Jetpack and WordPress.com Stats plugins give you the option to track or not track views of logged-in users. If you are using WordPress.com Stats, the option is in a page under the Plugins menu. In Jetpack, go to the Jetpack admin screen and follow the Configure link on the Stats module.

In reply to: WordPress.com Stats Counts my VisitsOkay, Jon, here’s where we stand. The plugin works as advertised for the vast majority–millions of users. I’d like to make it work for you, too. I can take a look at your site to try and determine the cause of the issue and design a fix. If you’ll email my name at automattic.com we can work out the specifics.

In reply to: WordPress.com Stats Counts my VisitsThere may be a conflict with another plugin causing this. Stats checks
$current_user->IDduring thewp_footeraction. If that’s empty, Stats doesn’t think you are logged in. You can try disabling other plugins to see if one is the cause, or else edit the Stats plugin to debug it.Forum: Plugins
