Stats have decreased since updating to WordPress 3.2

    My site averages about 700 to 1000 visitors per day, but ever since I updated to 3.2, my stats have decreased dramatically (yesterday it says 35 people visited, and today, only 9!!!), so I know there’s something wrong. The only new change has been the installation of the Simple Lightbox plugin. I’ve deactivated it to see if this could be the culprit, but this did not happen until I updated my site to 3.2.

    Have you checked your site with a number of different web browsers? It’s far more likely to be an issue with your theme or a plugin (assuming that there actually is an issue) than something to do with the update to WP 3.2

    Did you change your theme around the time that your stats began to fall? I checked your HTML and it’s missing the stats code. Usually that means the theme is broken. The FAQ has more details on this.

    So I changed my theme and the stats are back. However, I’d like to know what I can do to fix the old theme’s lack of a stats code, since the theme’s designer has gone AWOL.
