[nggtags id=1 gallery=Landscape template=caption]
where Landscapes is your gallery name. notice the different nggtags at the beginning.
I’m running 3.0 and ngg 1.5.5 and that is only partially working.
See leogoode.com/paintings/The thumbnails are being floated left, so the descriptions are beside the image, and throwing off the spacing of the other thumbnails.
And the title is not showing (even using template=caption) but only the description.
I could use some help to. Thanks!

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Display Picture TitleYou must add that to the page or post where you want the gallery to show up.
I have wp3.0 and netgen1.5.5 and the captions are still showing up along side the floated images (see http://leogoode.com/galleries/) so it’s not a matter of just adding template=caption.
Any solutions to this yet?

In reply to: Two blogs working from one user databaseIs it possible to have two WP installs (on the same server acct) share the same Database (not just tables)?
The reason I’m asking is because I’m revamping my site’s theme, and while I’m developing the new one it would be great (or would it?) to share the db, so that I can see what it will look like with my real content. Or are there other tools/methods for doing this?
thanks,
RonPS: I’m using the latest version of WP.
Also, _some_ of the images are visible when I view the site (www.arkansasastrology.com) on FireFox (3.0.8 on Mac 10.5.6)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Line break issuesI’m having the same issue- when I write a post and publish it all of the paragraphs get bunched together with no lines between them. When I look at the code it doesn’t retain the p tag.
Using Safari on a Mac.

In reply to: WordPress as ShopI’ve tried using the ecommerce plugin from Instinct on two sites and two different web hosts but it never works. I even paid the $80 for a “support token,” only to be told it doesn’t work (NS, sherlock).
Right now I’m trying osCommerce in a separate directory.

In reply to: custom ‘write post’ pageHI there- I tried that solution- and it hid all the Write sidebar stuff, but it also hid it when I was logged in as Admin.
Could there be more to that php if statement?Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Spontaneous theme switching?Interesting. Thanks for the info.
Yes, it’s probably because I’m ftp’ing files and then immediately reloading the page to see the changes.Glad it’s marked as a bug.

My next question is this:
Can I create a db on a remote webserver, but run WP locally on my machine, adding the db info into my config file?Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Moving your database- how to?I can open a terminal session and login to mysql and run commands from the command line. I think I can also use phpMyAdmin on my Mac too…it’s unix at the core 🙂

In reply to: My new astrology blog using WPThanks for your feedback.
I think it loads slowly because the header image is currently 144K- could that be it?
Server: it’s on a shared server, but I doubt that I’m getting many hits yet. I haven’t even sent the link out to friends. I’m having such a great time customizing WP that I haven’t written much content 🙂 But I’ll get to that…
I did make it wide because I really believe that the majority of visitors will have monitors capable of viewing the wider site. The page div that holds the white background part is only 960 px wide…yes, bigger than a std 800…but I made my design decision and I’m sticking to it 🙂
Although if anyone wants to suggest some code or a plugin whereby the main content column could be variable so that the page could be viewed in as little as 800px width then I’ll be happy to try it out.
Right now I’m toying with creating unique sidebars for each zodiac sign page. I’d rather not create 12, but just one for all signs, but have unique content (unique to the particular sign). Right now not all the signs (those green icons across the top content area) have a category page because not all of them have content (no content=no display). But check aries or capricorn. I stuck a dummy post in so I could see the category template in action.
Also, since I found a lot of help and info on the forums, if anyone has something I can help them with feel free to contact me – you can use this or the address on my site 🙂
THanks!
Ron
