In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] "Private key incorrect for user" ErrorActually if you could replace that with this:
define(‘NET_SSH2_LOGGING’, NET_SSH2_LOG_REALTIME);
NET_SFTP_LOGGING is more for SFTP connection issues. Auth is done at the SSH layer – not the SFTP layer.
Thanks!

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] "Private key incorrect for user" ErrorSorry for the delay – I was out of town.
Anyway…
Can you create a sample key that you’d be willing to post?
Also, if you could get me the logs. You can enable logging by find the following in class-wp-filesystem-ssh2.php and uncommenting it out:
//define(‘NET_SFTP_LOGGING’, NET_SFTP_LOG_REALTIME);
Thanks!

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] require_once errorDidn’t know that setting the include_path via php.ini could prevent set_include_path() from working. Interesting..
Anyway nice find!

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] "Private key incorrect for user" Error1. The private key is what you login with. The way it works is you sign a “session identifier” with your private key. The server verifies this signature with the public key it has on file. ie. the public key blob you put in the .ssh/authorized_keys file.
This plugin requires the private key because it’s acting as a client and because it needs to be able to login.
2. A user that can write to the WordPress files / directory? Could be the user that owns the files or a user in the same group as the owner, assuming the permissions are set appropriately.
We have not install WordPress from the Debian package repository.
What does that have to do with anything?

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] "Private key incorrect for user" ErrorCan you login with that private key using a “regular” SSH client? What about from the same IP address?
I ask about the IP address because there have been several instances where people couldn’t. eg.

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] Installing themes, and bulk install plugins breakSo I’ve figured out what the problem is. It’s not specific to that theme but rather to any plugin / theme that has to be manually uploaded. The fact that this plugin lets you upload keys is causing another part of WordPress to think a file was uploaded when one wasn’t which is causing that error.
I expect I’ll have a fix for you this evening.
Thanks!!

In reply to: SSH SFTP Updater Support plugin not appearingWhich plugins do you have installed (if you don’t mind my asking)?

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] Installing themes, and bulk install plugins breakOh yah lol. terrafrost@php.net.

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] Installing themes, and bulk install plugins breakHmmm… so this is borderline piracy I suppose but… would you be willing to email me the zip of that theme so I could test it out?
If you could provide me with SFTP access myself that’d be helpful, too, but getting a copy of the theme seems like it’d be a little less invasive.

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] Installing themes, and bulk install plugins breakI tried installing a few themes and ran into intermittent problems mostly relating to the particular themes I was installing.
For example…
http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/pagelines
wp-content/themes/pagelines/includes/class.render.css.php / write_css_file() may try to include this plugin’s sftp.php file. Attempting to do so, however, yields errors complaining about how functions like screen_icon and submit_button can’t be found. The reason they’re not being found is because that theme isn’t including them when it should be.
The two other themes I tried didn’t have any problems. But maybe the theme you’re trying does. What’s the name of it?
Thanks!

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] Private key incorrect for wordpressThis has been resolved. Apparently the wordpress user was not in the sshusers group.

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] SSH SFTP Option not appearingWell it’s working fine for me on WP 3.5.1. Maybe a conflict with another plugin you have installed.. no idea.
You can activate / deactivate the plugin by going to “Installed Plugins”. You can delete a plugin by going to wp-content/plugins and deleting the appropriate directory.
If you’d like further help give me admin access to your WP blog and (S)FTP access. You can email that stuff to terrafrost@php.net.
Thanks.

In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] Private key incorrect for wordpressYou could post them in this thread or email them to terrafrost@php.net. Whichever you prefer.
That said, if you’re not seeing any logs, my guess would be that you’re not even connecting. ie. maybe something like http://wordpress.org/support/topic/could-not-copy-file-at-autoupgrade?replies=2 is happening to you. You can confirm this by adding
define('WP_DEBUG', true);to your wp-config.php file.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [SSH SFTP Updater Support] Private key incorrect for wordpressSince you’re generating the ssh keys yourself… can you generate another one, verify that the other one has the problem, and then give it to me? The public key that you added to authorized_keys, the corresponding private key and the passphrase.
Thanks.
