In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Worked Great… Until I Couldn’t Log Back InSounds good, so it looks like an isolated instance on my systems and websites/hosts.
Did you search on Google? There are a lot of others having the same problem as me with login loops and problems.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Worked Great… Until I Couldn’t Log Back InSorry if I was unclear, but I know WordPress requires cookies for your own domain, but we’re talking about LiteSpeed Cache cookies and turning them off. Otherwise it’s not a test, as you even can’t log into WP with or without plugins.
To spell it out:
1) I primarily use Firefox for WP so instructions and results are under this browser.
2) Enable cookies only for your specific WP URL/domain (under Exceptions), while still having all cookies turned OFF (Block cookies and site data enabled) for everything else.
3) Make sure you can log in after changes (might have to refresh).
4) Install LiteSpeed and leave every setting at standard.
5) Log out and then try to log back in.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Worked Great… Until I Couldn’t Log Back InNo, it was definitely cookie-related so you guys must use cookies for something.
Once I allowed your cookies to be set, I was able to log in without issue. I turned them off, and deleted the existing cookies and I was immediately back in the locked-out login-loop.
Have you done testing on Chrome/Firefox browsers with Cookies Off to see how it reacts?
As for disabling the Cache Login Page (“what tab is that under?” as I may have little time to fool around before I’m locked out again) but it may take me a bit.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Worked Great… Until I Couldn’t Log Back InDuring my investigation, I had it narrowed down to a cookie issue, as if the LiteSpeed plugin required tracking cookies on its own in order for me to log in. No idea why and never had this happen before.
I tried to install it on a laptop using an old, defunct website and it did the same thing, and spun me around in a login loop, but when I opened up all cookie options, I was able to login.
But the site in question is a business site, being run on business computers with browser security and cookie options set by the admin, so there is no way I can (or would want to) open up all browsers settings just to run this one plugin.
I have also never had a plugin require full cookie access for WP login functionality and I’ve installed tried most of them. No idea what you’re up to with all the cookies either – tracking, phoning home?

Obviously, but my point remains that the more core features you add to this plugin, the more complicated support gets and but nature, the more updates users will have to deal with. Where in the world you got the bizarre idea I was advocating “not fixing bugs” is a question only you can answer.
To reiterate, if I am only using the plugin for “Clean” then I am also forced to continually update due to bug fixes with either of the (unused) “Cache” or “Compress” modules, right, which was obviously the entire point of my comment.
Kitchen Sink – 3X (or more) the updates.
And as for the “unless they’re spending their day compulsively refreshing the “Updates” page in their WP dashboard. It’s not compulsory to install new software within minutes or a day of its release” commentary, there have been several updates back when it was just “Clean” that caused sites to crash, and integral patches quickly released, so your above statement is patently incorrect. When I see 3 patch updates within a few hours, I tend to go on alert.
With the “kitchen sink” of multiple modules, am I supposed to guess as to which one it fixes or the severity of the bug addressed?

Are you saying you cannot replicate this?
I have done it on 2 PCs and 3 laptops so far, and I’m not sure you’re understanding the process.
1) Create a set of different URL links on a Post Page. Like: Microsoft Help – create a series of those to emulate me copying existing URL links from my Post to use later in article.
2) Type article text (in Visual mode) on that same page while copying and pasting these EXISTING blue URLs into the text. Do something like “Go [HERE], [HERE], [HERE], and [HERE] for more info” (where ([HERE] is an existing URL – like I posted above – that you have copied and pasted from the page) 2-3 times in a row and your spacebar should lock up.
Only copy and paste existing URLs, don’t create new ones or copy web links to existing text, just highlight the URL on the page and copy it several times on the same page, while pretending to type an article.
If you have absolutely no problem copying and pasting existing links to the same page, while you type, and can enter spaces freely, then there is something up, as one of these systems I’m testing on is a brand new Surface Laptop with zip on it right now other than Firefox and Chrome. I just took my password and tried to edit an existing Post, and after test copying and pasting some existing links, it locked up at the third one with no SpaceBar input allowed until I changed from Visual to Text and back to Visual.

In reply to: Chrome Doesn’t Add Right Spaces (Sometimes)In standard browsing mode I only have 4 extension and just disabled them all, with the same result. Not interested in incognito mode, but I just tried it and it locked up after a few URL copy/pastes, same as standard.
But after testing it over and over and over, I can say it’s definitely a URL copy/paste issue, and it’s infinitely repeatable.
I can duplicate it easy by copying and pasting an existing URL LINK 2-3 times (like “Go HERE, HERE, or HERE for more info”) and it locks up hard each time with no SPACE BAR input allowed.
Anything? Anyone?
I second this request, as Stumbleupon no longer exists and has been transformed into Mix at mix.com.
Thanks for the reply, and after a day or so everything seems to be back to normal and the numbers have reset.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Last Update Locked SiteJust a note, that enabling the “Hide ‘My Content and Settings’ button” feature (disabling “My Content and Settings”) allowed my link modifier plugins to start working again, so that is the definite culprit.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Last Update Locked SiteAfter some testing, I figured out what the problem is – your plugin no longer supports link editing (inserting nofollow/noindex, etc.) at the comment level, and that’s why it’s locking up.
I disabled the “comment” settings in the plugin options and the site popped up with all plugins enabled. Is that a new security measure or just a bug?

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Last Update Locked SiteThere is another version of it that’s safe (from the original author), and I just linked to my bookmark. There are other domain forwarders/nofollow plugins that have trouble as well, and there must have been a change in your code to create this behaviour.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Last Update Locked SiteI tried that but after some testing, I found that the new version of wpDiscuz actually has incompatibilities with several WP External Links plugins, such as:
