In reply to: [Newsup] Date no longer displays without Time enabledThank you for the comment, but there have been multiple updates and the problem is still there so I wondering if there is an ETA.
Yes, that CSS seems to have worked and all the Tabs are now the proper size.
Thank you for the assistance.
Thanks, and not your fault but these forums are pretty useless – no image upload, no private messaging, nothing but public text with no privacy.
What the hell, the site is “domainrecap dot com” and the error is obvious in the two WP Tabs sections on the right sidebar that display charts. I have already tested the Tablepress plugin and that’s not the problem as it doesn’t work with pure text either.
Thank you.
Yes, i just saw that hit my WP dashboard and I updated and will try later.
One caveat is that turning off “Content AI” resulted in a serious performance hit. Once I updated and turned “Content AI” back on, the site returned to its speedy self.

Thanks @stowbee, as your suggestion seems to have worked – I can’t imagine how this update passed Q&A as it’s incredibly intrusive and my next step was to delete Rank Math.
Same problem here, and on 3 different sites, so it’s got to be very widespread.
And everything is updated to the very latest, so that’s NOT a solution.
I just wanted to report back that the latest update seems to have cleared up the problem, but I’m not sure if that was just accidental or not.
Either way, the Twitter Card Featured Image is popping up quick now. Thanks.
Thanks, and as stated I know all the workarounds and am using one right now to lower the Sitemap to 200 posts per page, but the actual question was:
Is there any possibility of this “posts_per_page” setting being added to the Slim SEO UI, like it is in Rank Math and Yoast?

In reply to: How To Stop AutoUpdates After a Restore?I know all the canned reponses, and you might want to read my question again.
I am RESTORING 5.6 from BACKUP to get rid of all the damage 5.6.1 caused, but when I do, WP immediately senses the domain going back up and auto-installs 5.6.1 before the site is even accessible by me.
Manually downgrading isn’t an option, as it 5.6.1 seems to initiate cascading DB issues and faults that never stop on the site, even after you downgrade to 5.6 or 5.5.3. And if a plugin is at fault, there is again no time at all to disable anything from the restore before WP jams in the 5.6.1 auto-update.
Basically, this is a designed WP Trap they have conceived, whereby it is impossible to restore to an earlier version of WP that has minor updates. You’re absolutely trapped and I’ve tried everything to escape.
I think the only solution is to have my hosting company restore with online access disabled, add a line to my wp-config.php file disabling auto-updates, then re-enabling online access.

In reply to: [Newsup] Conflict with WP Domain CheckerHere is an image of the two scenarios (left is top page social buttons, right is bottom-of-post social sharing), with the top row being with WP Domain Checker enabled, and the bottom row being with it disabled:
No matter what I try I cannot get the Pinterest social link to pick up the image, although it does if I go to the Pinterest site and manually load it.
Like i said, it does pick it up if I “unhide” the Feature Image on Newsup. I’ll check with the theme author to see if he’s doing something non-standard on the Pinterest side.
It’s Newsup and this theme has a switch that allows the “Featured Image” on Posts to be hidden or shown – the feature image/URL is present and is used for other purposes (like thumbnails and shown on the front page) it’s just not displayed in Posts, but the image doesn’t seem to get picked up by Slim SEO (for Pinterest, Mix, etc.) unless it’s set to “Shown”.
The “Show/Hide Feature Images in Post” option is a very common feature, and is present on all 3 of the themes I’ve used on this site.
Both Yoast and Rank Math pick up the “Hidden” Feature Image, probably because these programs look for the selected image + URL in WordPress, rather than just what is being generated on the page.

In reply to: [Newsup] Newsup Update 2.9.9.1Yep, but I thought there might be a little more detail in the actual changelog. But here are the latest ones for anyone interested:
= Version 2.9.9.40
* Remove unused code.= Version 2.9.9.41
* Fixed wpforms styling issue.= Version 2.9.9.42
* Fixed frontpage sidebar title issue.= Version 2.9.9.43
* Fixed responsive issue.= Version 2.9.9.44
* Fixed style issue.= Version 2.9.9.45
* Fixed double category widget image issue.= Version 2.9.9.46
* Added grid layout and fixed issue.I’ve been testing the plugin, and it looks like I got Facebook and Twitter working, but others like Pinterest and Mix just don’t see the Header Image unless I enabled it to physically show on the page – this feature worked previously with Yoast and Rank Math, so hopefully there is a solution.
