In reply to: [WPSiteSync for Content] Question about partial sync from staging to liveHello portokie,
WPSiteSync isn’t designed to do full site migration but single, isolated Posts and Page content. Because of this it will not overwrite your existing content on the live site But only update the single Post/Page that you want to sync.
We plan to have an extension to handle WooCommerce. If you would like to be notified of this. Please send us your email address through our contact for at https://serverpress.com/contact

In reply to: [WPSiteSync for Content] Any plans to sync woocommerce orders and customers?Hello bravewhale,

Hello Joe,
Does the username for your database credentials have permissions to perform a CREATE TABLE?
Does the version of MySQL you are using support utf8mb4?
What you can try doing is copy and paste one of the CREATE TABLE commands that you see in the log file into your PHPMyAdmin tool. If there are any errors please let us know what those are and we can help in resolving it.
Hello Jason,
Are you able to successfully upload an image via the media library. If not there may be a permissions issue. That would need to be resolved before you can upload images.
We would like to review the debug log.
On Target edit the wp-config.php file and add the following just above the /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
define(‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true);You may already have a define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false); or true, please make sure you only have one. This will start the log file.
On the Source click on the “Push to Target” button
Back on the Target machine locate the wp-content/plugins/wpsitesynccontent/~log.txt file and download that via FTP and send that to us at https://serverpress.com/contact.

In reply to: [WPSiteSync for Content] No image transferedHello John,
Are you able to upload an image via the normal media library upload process? If you are unable to, there may be a file permission issue. That would need to be resolved in order to perform the image upload.
Please provide the URL for the Target. And we would like to review the log file. Here is how to create it.
On Target edit the wp-config.php file and add the following just above the /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
define(‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true);You may already have a define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false); or true, please make sure you only have one. This will start the log file.

In reply to: [WPSiteSync for Content] Settings don't save – cannot use pluginHello David,
First off, be sure that there are no “Coming Soon” or maintenance plugins running. Next, follow these procedures:
1. Go to the settings for the plugin on each site (Settings –> wpsitesync)
2. Select the “Yes, remove all settings and data on uninstall” radio button next to the “Optionally remove Settings and Tables on plugin deactivation”,
3. Click “Save Changes”
4. Deactivate the plugin
5. Delete the plugin
6. Re-install the plugin
7. In Settings –> WPSiteSync, set Strict Mode to “Off?”
8. Attempt to connect the two sites and see if it works.Let us know if that works. Thanks!
