You may have to modify your .htaccess file back down to the basic. Because iThemes security still has all the rules left in there even when disabled.

Yes, WPSiteSync will work with any theme. However WPSiteSync works with the standard WordPress data.
We have done some testing with Divi and there are some inconsistencies with syncing the data. We are looking into this and plan to provide an extension for Divi that will allow correct synchronization of the content.

Yes the image should be pushed automatically when you push the contents of a post.
Is the content syncing?
Can you upload an image on the Target site? If you are unable to upload any images through the media library on the Target, this could be a file permissions issue on the Target
How big is the image? If the image is larger then the allowed upload size on the Target, WordPress will block the upload.

Please uninstall on both the Source and the Target and reinstall with the latest version. Be sure to click the radio button to remove all data.
After installing please check the Settings > WPSiteSync to confirm that the Target is set and you have the green check mark for the password. The URL needs to be the sub directory or sub domain on the multi-site that you want to talk to.
