In reply to: Error establishing a database connection after plugin change? The backup was just after the database went down, which may explain why it still is down (there’s something wrong with it, maybe)… Maybe if I grab an older backup and upload that, it might work…
I was originally posting on the author’s site about the problems that the plugin was giving me before this issue, but that means nothing now =P I’ll try his site a little later.

In reply to: Privacy w/ blogs?or is this a no-no in the blog world?
Is there even such as thing as a “no-no” in the blog world? And even if there was, so what? It’s your site, your blog, do what you want. That’s what’s beautiful about the internet. You can do pretty much whatever you want and no one can really say “No! Bad!”

In reply to: Browser Compability IssuesFrom my experience, it’s not that IE just doesn’t support something (save for the -moz attribute thingies), but it seems to have broken support. ex. margin:0px auto doesn’t work in IE because IE can’t do auto.
One of the best ways to find out is trial and error. Yes, it is rough, and it is a major pain in the ass, but you’ll learn a lot along the way.

In reply to: Menu bar issue in IEw00t, found it. For some reason, I had to declare margin:0px;, even though I clearly remember it working fine without that…

In reply to: New Spiderman ThemeBecause the sidebar disapeers, maybe you want the post content to take up the entire page then? There’s an annoying column of white otherwise.

In reply to: My admin log-in page lists in googlethanks, moshu. I’ll see if I can figure it out. It’s not that terribly important to me, but it does seem odd that everyone has the same user name to wordpress, so the only protection is the password.
Nope, not I. I imported my posts from MovableType a year or so ago with WP1.2. It created an account called Satoshi in addition to the admin account. I took what few admin posts there were and put them under Sato’s name, upped Sato’s user level to 10, and deleted the admin account (all via phpMyAdmin).
Therefore, I no longer have an admin account called admin. Sure, you could probably just rename the admin account, but that wouldn’t have worked to well in my case (I needed to have every post under the same username).

In reply to: Menu bar issue in IEBah, Moose… I was just pissed off that I had spent so much time getting my site to work properly across both browsers that when this issue popped up, I kinda lost coherence… Hm… Maybe I’ll post a new topic, if I can’t find it on my own in the mean time..
