    Hi, @keithacarlson.

    Glad you reached out.

It depends. The fix will be the same if your issue is the same. However, we need to see the error to make sure the issue is the same.

The “There has been a critical error on your website” message is a WordPress system-generated error message that means something has caused a PHP fatal error. Whenever you see that message, it means that a more detailed error log has been sent to the main admin email address (which you can configure at Settings > General in the main WordPress settings).

Pass along any error messages you are getting, and we’ll be able to help.

    Thanks!

    Hi, @tkouch.

    Glad you reached out.

I accessed your site and the PayPal button was there. Am I missing something here?

Your success with online donations is our number one priority. Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!

    Hi, @mazze5.

    I’m glad you reached out.

The country field was designed to contain all the countries, and if the user types a letter, it will scroll down until the first country with that letter. However, we do not have a search functionality or a way to customize the country list.

Although we do not have this feature out of the box, it would be exciting and valuable to understand how it would work for you and improve your workflow, so the product development team has some insights into how it would behave.

Also, is there any workaround that you are using? It would be good to hear from you about that too, and what this feature would allow you to do. All ideas are appreciated, and I’m happy to share your insights with the product development team so that they can discuss the feasibility of this feature.

I hope this clarifies, and I look forward to hearing back from you!

    Hi there.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard back, and I know troubleshooting needs a little extra time. I’m marking this as resolved for now, but if you still have questions, you can send them along right here, and I’ll be happy to hop back in.

    Have a great day!

    Hi, @tallhat.

I’m glad you reached out. I can certainly help you.

Changing text on your website can be a challenge. That’s why we created this tutorial that explains how to do it here https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/translating-give/translating-givewp-with-loco-translate/#modify-the-wording-using-loco-translate.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any further inquiries or require additional assistance. We’re always happy to help!

    Hi, @scrimie.

    Glad you reached out.

Before we go ahead, I would like to tell you a piece of important information: unless the CSV is impeccable, GiveWP won’t import it.

I encourage you to export a sample file you can find under donations > tools > import > import donations and then fill the CSV with the information you need, and only after that, you export this new CSV file and import it to GiveWP:

    Screenshot-2022-11-09-at-09-23-30.png

When GiveWP tries to import those donations, it also verifies the kind of data that you are passing. So make sure everything is tidy and ordered properly.

Also, do not import anything that has an ID – form ID, user ID, any information related to an ID.

Now, about you buying our products from a third-party, we do not sell it through third-party services. What you are likely paying for is a nulled version of our add-ons.

We wrote an article to explain why this is unsafe. You can read it here: https://givewp.com/nulled/.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any further inquiries or require additional assistance. We’re always happy to help!

    Hi, @natasza2023.

    Glad you reached out.

The error message you shared with us are deprecation notices and warning, and even though they are disturbing, they should not affect your site’s functionality. Did you experience a fatal error? If you did, can you pass on the error here?

Also, you mentioned you use GiveWP add-ons. As the add-ons are premium features, we’re unable to provide support here. However, you can reach out to our dedicated support team via https://givewp.com/priority-support/, and they will be more than happy to assist you.

We’re looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this issue!

No problem! We will be here if you need further assistance.

    Hi, @mardermolchii.

    Glad you reached out.

    1 – Name tag

Correct, that’s the expected behavior right now. For v2 forms (legacy, classic and multi-step forms), the {name} tag represents the donor’s name for salutation purposes—either first name only or prefix and last name if provided. And the {fullname} tag represents the donor’s full name, first and last. That’s how it was designed to work.

2 – GiveWP usually uses your browser language and sends it to the payment gateway. I created a feature request to force a specific locale here: https://feedback.givewp.com/feature-requests/p/force-specific-locale-for-paypal-donations.

We are actively tracking user feedback to understand further the needs you all have. You can use the link to check in for updates or to provide additional details of your own. I would encourage you to comment on that post about the impact this would have on your organization. Information like that is always helpful for our teams to see. I’ve also linked your ticket internally, so if this feature request is developed, we can reach out to update you.

Give the post above a look, and let me know if there are any additional details you would like me to add. I want to ensure your need is as accurately reflected as possible, and I’m happy to include an internal note to our teams with any specific information you would like them to have.

While we work on it, feel free to message us if you have further questions or need any additional assistance!

    Hi, @estedog.

When you say the shortcodes are not working, can you clarify what you mean? I’ve been testing them lately and they worked as I would expect.

If you can give us examples, share screenshots, and explain how to replicate the issue you are seeing, it will be easier to replicate them and report them to the development team if needed.

Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!

    Hi, @beycanpress.

    Glad you reached out.

When your doubt is related to custom development and not support itself, we’ve got a spot where you can ask this question directly to our development team, but the question will need to be more fleshed out there than it is here. I’d recommend passing along the exact code snippet you are attempting to use and what results from that snippet. The more focused the question is, the more likely our development team will be able to step away from their busy schedules to help with this sort of custom code.

You can reach out to them here: https://github.com/impress-org/givewp/discussions.

Thanks for using GiveWP! Have a great day.

    Hi there.

In Reports, there is no option to drill down the donations for different forms, there is only a pie chart which just gives the total for each form. I can go to Legacy Reports and find that info but that’s extra steps.

This is how the reports was designed to work. The legacy reports are different, and that’s the best workaround for now. However, we are always happy to improve our reports function.

When I turn on WP_DEBUG, I am getting some Deprecated classes error messages because of which I receive an error sometimes “There are critical errors on the website”

Deprecation notices is something our team is already working on. However, deprecation notices do not generate fatal errors, so something else is generating those errors.

When you see a fatal error next time, you can ask your host for the error logs to check what is breaking on your website.

PDF Receipts Custom Template Builder is such a pain to use. Would be nice if we could use Elementor for that or any other drag drop templates. Please add more sample templates.

The PDF Receipts builder is something we would love to work on. I’ll ping the product development team so they can analyze the viability and feasibility of adding it to our work timeline.

For Offline Donations I want to enable add address fields. How can I do that?

You can do it like you do for any other payment gateway. Navigate to donations > settings > payment gateways > offline donations and then mark the collect billing details field as enabled.

For Company Donations, I want to enable company address field. How can I do that?

If you need to collect a new address field, you need to create this field using custom code or using the Form Field Manager add-on. There, you could create conditionals like this: “if the company field is not empty, then display the company address field.”

You can learn more about it here: https://givewp.com/addons/form-field-manager/.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any further inquiries or require additional assistance. We’re always happy to help!
