In reply to: my attempt to 1.2 to 1.5 upgradeHmm. I copy and pasted the lines above from another wp-config.php file, and when I try to connect to poetry.drivein, it now works.
So evidently… its just that bit that differs between poetry’s wp-config.php and the other blog’s wp-config.php

In reply to: my blog, drive-in movie theatresI have been thinking about changing some things around… but really haven’t had the time.
On the main part of the site, I have a pic I did it in povray of a drive-in movie theatre. I’m not all that great in povray, but I like the result. Its the pic going down the left side of the screen at:
As for the first post indenting, I would rather they all indented… I dislike the lack of a left margin on the rest of the posts.

In reply to: What’s the difference between ‘weblog’ and a ‘cms’?I looked at all of the cms, about 7 of them, available via cpanel on my domain. I tried almost all of them over 7 months starting last year.
I know next to no php. Well, I can spell php, thats it.
I tried wordpress and I went with it because I liked the support and the ease of use. I tend to lurk and see how common questions are handled by those on the forums. The outstanding help here is why I went with wp.
As for combining three sites, you could add the info to the blog, and have a link between the blog and the forums. Or if the info site is your domain, link it to the blog and back to the info site with page links. Or add the blog to the info site. Redirect in your blog subdomain using the .htaccess file to the info site.
It will all depend on which is the domain, and which are the two subs.

In reply to: my blog, drive-in movie theatresI have been trying to figure out how all posts but the first one slide over to the left like that. I use ff 1.0 as well.
I have about 100 kilobytes worth of form mails in the blog so far, with about another 75 kilobytes to add. Thats with headers, .sigs, etc. removed.
I was going to go with the style switcher plug-in for 1.2, but I may backup my database and install 1.5
I used Irfanview to change some of the pics to a lighter blue.
I doubt I’ll have time this week to do much to it.
Thanks for the feedback.

In reply to: Pages are 404ingsorry, I mispelled it to, but just about any spelling correction on usenet anyway, must contain a misspell the poster doesn’t see.
The about page is there, but not the test pages linked below it.

In reply to: My Stylesheet Isn’t Changing (wp 1.5)I don’t see a background image… have you cleared cache on your home computer ?

In reply to: Wooden Fishspeaking of the file download you mention on your blog…
I have two browsers on the computer I’m using tonight, its not mine, one is IE and the other is firefox 1.0.
When I type in wordpress.org in IE url bar, its says it wants to download a file.
Firefox finds this site.
I think it may be IE ‘thinking’ that the user is about to download a Word file and reacts accordingly.
Your site looks good.
