We have 3 options for customizing the look of the classifieds.
1) First is custom CSS to do basic tweaks like fonts, spacing, and colors. Here is an article about how to use custom CSS with AWPCP in a way that doesn’t get overwritten on the upgrade of AWPCP: https://awpcp.com/knowledge-base/customizing-style-awpcp/
2) For the more adventurous and layout-based changes, you can change the layout templates of the plugin, which are located under Classifieds->Settings, Ad/Listing tab under Single Ad Layout and List Ads Layout. 3) But if that’s not enough, you can go full-bore and customize anything in the plugin if you have the proper skillset: http://awpcp.com/documentation/customization-guide/

It looks like there are two different versions of select2 loaded on the page. We need to have the customer contact geodirectory and ask them not to load scripts on pages that don’t need them.

I’m sorry that didn’t work. Theme and plugin conflicts are very common in WordPress, and a conflict test is used to help determine the cause of the issue. Before doing a conflict test, it is a best practice to take a backup of your site before beginning or to do the test on a staging site, in case any settings are changed during the process.

This sounds like a cache issue possibly. We recommend clearing the server cache if you have one (which is found either in your hosting settings or on your plugin settings for things like WP Super Cache and W3TC if you have them installed), as well as your client browser cache.
The best way to get uncached data on your browser is to use a Private Browsing window or Incognito mode (depending on your browser). That ensures you’re seeing the latest, correct data.
If that doesn’t work, we would like to troubleshoot this issue with you further.

I’m sorry to hear that you ran into issues with this! I actually can’t access your site at all — it seems that no pages are loading.
Since I haven’t been able to reproduce this on my test site, will you check if you have the same issue under these conditions?
– all other plugins deactivated
– any custom code removed
– WP 2020 theme active
– running the current version of Business Directory Plugin
– running the current version of WordPress
– all site, server, and browser caches clearedIf you do have the same issue under those conditions, please let me know.

Thank you for reaching out about this. When you change the settings in the plugin to change the size of the primary image, that change only affects new listings going forward. However, there is a plugin that you can download that will resize all of your existing images. It is called Regenerate Thumbnails and you can learn more about it here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Thanks for getting in touch! Sorry for any confusion about this.
This was actually a change we made in a recent version to modernize the look and feel of the directory – we felt that the View button was a little outdated. You can now view the listing by clicking on the title link, which is more typical of how modern directories function.

Thank you for reaching out about this. Any string or label in the application can be modified with a translation file to be whatever you want it to be.
Although a translation file is traditionally used to change the language of a plugin, it also will change ANY string or label in the plugin (For example, you can change the word “Search” to “Find”). You can add instructions for images that way as well.
