Hi @sonicgyn,
I am glad to hear that you have finally been able to import the WEBP images and thank for the update.
Regarding the AVIF compatibility, it has already been added to the list of the feature request. Our team will work on it and release an update soon.
I apologize that we can’t provide what you’re looking for right now, but I appreciate the suggestion and any other details you may be able to provide! It’s always helpful to get insights from our users.
Could you please let me know if you have any other questions?
Thanks!
Hi @delta-skies,
Thank you for reaching out,
To remove the section, please use the following CSS code inside WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:
.ngg-breadcrumbs {
display: none;
}Adding the code will not remove the breadcrumb appearing at the top, since it is added via the theme.
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks! 🙂
Hi @ecpad,
Sorry for the delayed response,
Currently, not all HTML is allowed in the Image description, like the SUP tag you pointed out and some other text. This is an intended function and security measure to prevent malicious actions on users’ sites, such as cross-site scripting (XSS).
Currently, we only allow the following HTML tags to be safely used in the image description.
- ins
- del
- b
- strong
- i
- em
- a
- br
- p
- blockquote
However, I completely understand and agree with the need for HTML to be used in the description. I’ll be passing this feedback along to the rest of the team to review while we plan our future roadmaps, and so we can make updates to our documentation where necessary.
I apologize again for any trouble or confusion caused here. If you have any other questions or feedback, then please feel welcome to reach out!

Hi @antonynz,
Sorry for the delayed response,
To fix the issue, could you please follow the steps below:
- Go to the path: wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/static/IGW/Block/editor.css
- Search for the following code;
@font-face {
font-family: 'Lato';
src: url('../../nextgen_admin/static/Lato-Regular.ttf') format('truetype');
}3. Comment the code.
Once done, please check for the error. It should be removed.
Let me know the updates after doing so and I will get back to you.
Thanks!

Hi @erolhard11,
Thanks for the update,
The error usually appears when the script expects an image or object to have defined width and height but, for some reason, they’re missing. So could you please try once uploading some other new image than the one you are currently uploading and check if it helps you or not!
Let me know the updates and I will get back to you.
Thanks
Hi @sonicgyn,
Thank you for reaching back,
Upon checking further by uploading the WEBP image format on NextGEN Gallery, the image is uploaded successfully without any error. In case this helps, please check the screen recording here.
Could you please upload the images on WordPress Media library and check if it gets uploaded successfully or not! This way we can check if the issue persists with NextGEN Gallery only or overall setup of yours.
Let me know the updates and I will get back to you.
Thanks!

Hi @vikazz,
Sorry for the delayed response,
Could you please re-share the page having the issue with the image, as the link earlier you shared now displays the 404 page not found error.
So if you could share the page, I can check and help you with some possible solution to fix those.
Thanks!
Hi @goldio123,
Thank you for reaching us,
As the Album creation is part of the paid version of Envira Gallery, could you please drop us a line through our contact page when you get the chance?
You’re welcome to just include a link to this post if you’d prefer to do that.
I apologize that we’re not able to respond to paid version questions here in the WordPress.org support forums for the free version, but I really appreciate your help!
Thanks.
Hi @vladav,
Thank you for reaching out,
While we don’t have a migration tool in NextGEN, but you can migrate the galleries manually following this basic migration outline:
- On origin site:
- Create a full verified backup of the site (all files and the entire database)
- Clear transients
- Copy all database tables
- Copy gallery folders and contents
Here is a great article elaborating more on how to create a site’s backup: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-backup-your-wordpress-site/
- On destination site (WordPress default installation):
- Ensure NextGEN Gallery plugin(s) are installed (and activated) (latest version)
- Paste gallery folders and contents
- Paste (overwrite) all database tables
- Clear transients
- Optional, use Reset Option under Gallery > Other Options
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks! 🙂
Hi @peterangelov,
Thank you for reaching us,
I suspect one of the plugins you’re using might be causing the problem, so please try deactivating all the plugins one by one and check if the problem resolves.
Once deactivated, please activate the plugin one by one to find the defect plugin causing the issue on your end.
Let me know the updates and I will get back to you.
Thanks!
Hi @peterangelov,
Thank you for reaching out,
It looks like there’s a possible bug with the NextGEN Gallery displaying the Image URL even when disabling the watermark effect.
A report has been created about this issue to notify our development team about it. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime. I can’t currently provide an ETA for when a fix will be released.
However, I’m taking note of this thread, and I’ll make sure to send you an update when an update that fixes this issue is released.
As a workaround, please add # into the Image URL that fixes the issue and allows you saving the changes.
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks!
Hi @erolhard11,
Thank you for reaching out,
To fix the warning message appearing, I recommend resetting NextGen Gallery plugin’s settings.
While this wouldn’t affect your gallery images, this will reset all the gallery settings to their default values.
We suggest doing a site and database backup first before proceeding to reset the plugin’s settings.
You can reset NextGen Gallery settings from “NextGen Gallery > Other Options > Reset Options > Reset all options”.Please let me know of your results.
Thanks!
