Hi @konstantinus,
Thanks for reaching us,
There is no set limit to the number of galleries or images you can have in NextGEN Gallery. The capacity is fully dependent on your hosting and server resources. As long as your server can handle the storage and processing requirements, you can add as many galleries and images as you need.
However, please note that the NextGEN interface might become a bit cluttered with a large number of galleries, albums, and images.
I suggest you contact your hosting provider and request an increase in your server limits that might help you fix the issue.
Thanks!
Hi @nicko2u,
Thanks for reaching out!
While checking on our setup we couldn’t replicate the issue while using the PHP 8.2 and NextGEN Gallery. I suggest you download a fresh copy of the latest NextGen Gallery and, then replace the one from your site’s Dashboard > Plugins > Add new plugin > Upload plugin > Choose File (with the files’ override when being asked) to see if that’ll fix the issue?
Re-installing NextGen Gallery wouldn’t affect your existing galleries.
Thanks!

Hi @thedrewseum,
Thanks for reaching out!
Checking on our setup, the selection of thumbnail works fine, and it crops on the chosen area. Please check the screenshot here.
Could you please clear your image cache under NextGEN Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous and check if it helps you or not!
Let me know how it went!

Hi @maddogprod,
Thanks for reaching back,
In-order to roll back to the older version of Envira Gallery, you can use the WP Rollback free plugin.
Before making any change, please be sure to back up your site.
Let us know how that goes for you.
Thanks!

Hi @maddogprod,
Thanks for the details,
Envira Gallery doesn’t work with PHP version below 7.0. So the only way to fix the issue is either to upgrade the PHP version or still use the old version of the plugin.
Basically upgrading the PHP version, you will be able to work well with our Envira Gallery plugins and other WordPress components.
Thanks!
