Hi @harpistic,
I’m really sorry to hear about your experience with the NextGEN Gallery plugin. I understand how frustrating this must be, and I appreciate your feedback.
Basically, there are various factors that made decrease the performance issues of your site. Moreover, slow uploads, failed images, and difficult gallery management are not the experience we want for any of our users.
While we know you’ve already gone through some troubleshooting issues during your testing, we’d still love the chance to help you get things working properly.
If you’re willing, please share a few details such as PHP version, or any errors you’re seeing while activating the NextGEN Gallery plugin. We’ll do our best to find out what’s going on and see if we can make things work better for you.
Thanks!
Hi @bob-reeves,
Thank you for reaching out,
Upon checking from my end with both the plugin activation and adding the Forms and NextGEN Gallery on the same page, both works fine. For your confirmation please check the screenshot here.
Could you please try deactivating all other plugins on your site, then activate only NextGEN Gallery and Formidable Forms? This will help us identify if there’s a conflict with another plugin and assist you in resolving the issue more effectively.
Thanks

Hi @thompol,
Thank you for reaching out,
It looks like to be a conflict with the NextGEN Gallery and Enfold theme that’s occurring the issue on the lightbox mode.
To fix the issue, please use the Following CSS Code inside WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:
.galleria-theme-nextgen_pro_lightbox .galleria-stage {
height:100% !important;
}I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks! 🙂
Hi @artcharacter,
Thank you for reaching out,
Looking into the error code, it appears to be an issue with the having your database setup to “NO_AUTO_VALUE_ON_ZERO” SQL mode.
Please ask the hosting support to deactivate “NO_AUTO_VALUE_ON_ZERO” SQL mode and also, please ask their help to ensure that the wp_ngg_pictures > PID is set to auto-increment.
Once that’s done, try uploading some images to any of your galleries and let me know if this fixes the issue.
Thanks!
Hi @dixx37,
Thank you for reaching out,
Currently, NextGEN Gallery supports uploading the image in WebP image format. However, if you already have uploaded the image in JPG format and now wish to convert it to the WEBP image, it’s possible with the NextGEN Gallery.
However, just converting the files in the server directory is not enough as the NextGEN Gallery stores the image metadata in WordPress Database that includes image file name, paths, and other formats. So simply converting the JPG image format to WEBP, the plugin won’t be able to find the images and your galleries could break down.
Instead, please use the third-party plugin that support converting the JPG image to WEBP, that will convert the image without you need of making any changes in the galleries or database.
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks! 🙂

Hi @bongojules,
Thank you for reaching out to us, and I am sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing on your end.
NextGEN Gallery itself doesn’t auto-update if you’ve disabled auto-updates on WordPress. However, sometimes a third-party plugin or service (like a hosting provider) might be doing the update without your concern.
To help stop the auto-update, I recommend following the steps suggested in the wpbeginner guideline: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-disable-automatic-updates-in-wordpress/
I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?
Thanks!
