Hi,
Sorry you feel this way, however giving the plugin a failing grade should normally be reserved for plugins with weak support, unresolved bugs, security issues, or not following WordPress standards. Which is certainly not the case for TranslatePress. To put things in perspective, without our paying customers the free version (which is used successfully on ~ 70K websites) wouldn’t even exist.
Expecting a WordPress plugin to be unconditionally FREE even when used for a potential revenue creating website, is just hurting the WordPress ecosystem (which you are also part of).
Good luck with your project and hope you find a suitable solution,
AdrianThanks a lot for taking the time to write this review. It’s highly appreciated.
Some of your suggestions are already on our todo list, I’ll make sure to write down the others. Hope you’ll enjoy future improvements and features that we’ll continue to add to the plugin.
Thanks again,
The best course of action in this case would have been to open a support ticket: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/translatepress-multilingual/
In very few cases, what you’re describing we found to be happening when you use a speed optimization plugin. These plugins compress all JS files into one file, but this process can create errors when you load a page.
See if you have this type of plugins, disable them and try again to do the translation. Also, please see if your server has both HTTP2 and GZIP.
If it does, auto-optimize doesn’t actually have a positive impact on your website speed as HTTP2 means everything is downloaded in parallel, on the same connection and GZIP means minification doesn’t actually do anything.I’d be more than happy to help you get to the bottom of this, so please open a support ticket with more details after investigating the above.
Giving the plugin a failing grade without even giving us a chance to help or figure out if TranslatePress is actually responsible, is a lose-lose scenario.
Thank you!
Hello,
This shouldn’t happen and we’re more than willing to investigate further. Did you manage to open a ticket?
As my colleague Cristian mentioned, we’ve made a ton of speed improvements in the latest versions of TranslatePress. So simply updating your version might fix it.
Best,
Hi,
What you’re describing shouldn’t happen. TranslatePress is storing the translated content in your database, so it shouldn’t be lost.
If you change/update any of the strings in the meantime, you have access to translation memory, so you can easily map the updated string with the old translation.
We’re happy to investigate further and get to the bottom of this. Did you open a support ticket here describing your issue?
Hi,
Sorry you encountered friction with this. Can you let me know what didn’t work as expected? We’re more than happy to help you with this. Simply open a support ticket here.
We’ve just released Image translation support, which can also be used to translate images with links, so you can add different external links or link to different media from each image.
Here are a few examples: https://translatepress.com/translate-images-in-wordpress/

You can also look into translating images containing links and replace only the anchor link: https://translatepress.com/translate-images-in-wordpress/
TranslatePress has now a built in Image Translation feature, that lets you translate images, sliders and other media directly from the front-end.
It uses the same front-end translation approach as with all other content types.

This is probably due to some css added by your theme, but as Alex mentioned you can find every string in the dropdown from the Translation Editor.
Also, you can check out this tutorial on how to translate Contact Form 7 using TranslatePress.
If you’re looking for a front-end visual translation approach, check out TranslatePress.
Here’s a detailed tutorial of the translation process from Elementor’s blog: https://elementor.com/blog/multilingual-website-translatepress/
Hello,
Could you let us know if the support ticket replies solved your issues?
The duplicate charge can come from various places. After investigating, in the account, there are two payments for the user so our plugin didn’t register those extra payments. Only one of them, as it should.
The good news is that those payments should be in your Stripe account and we can tell where they came from.
Please let us know if the instructions sent via our support channel solved your issue or if you would like us to look into it further.
Best regards,

In reply to: [TranslatePress - Translate Multilingual sites with AI Translation] DeceivingThank you for your frankness and sorry you feel this way. Making you feel deceived was never our intention.
In the plugin description page, right above the Extra Languages we clearly mention it is a premium add-on and link to the pricing page.
I do appreciate your feedback, however giving the plugin a failing grade should normally be reserved for plugins with weak support, unresolved bugs, security issues, or not following WordPress standards. Which is not the case for TranslatePress.
However I’m really happy to hear you found the plugin functionality “easy to use & efficient”, as building robust and reliable products is something we constantly push ourselves to do.
Have a great day and good luck with your project,
Hello,
Thank you both for your frankness.
First of all I’m really happy to hear you had a positive experience with the product itself. Building robust and reliable products is our main goal.
Regarding support, please be assured that helping our clients is also a top priority.
While support responsiveness due to our working hours may vary, we’re actively experimenting with ways to improve this.
I do appreciate your feedback, however giving the free version of the plugin a failing grade is not a way to help us improve this. This should be reserved for plugins hard to use, with unresolved bugs, security issues, or not following WordPress standards. Definitely not the case for this plugin.
Have a great day,
