Hi again,
There seems to be an integration problem…
I’ve set it all up as specified in your instructions and all seemed good, until a customer from my main site shop couldn’t complete her purchase via paypal – and this was only resolved when i deactivated the s2member in my subfolder w/p install.
So the scenario is this:
1. i have a main root install w/p site with my Ecwid shop (linked to my PayPal acct) = mysite.com
2. my PayPal IPN is set to my ecwid ID
3. i have a subfolder w/p install with buddypress and s2member plugins for a social membership group = mysite.com/social-group
4. my s2member plugin will control the payment buttons for members to join the social group and i have set it up linking to the same PayPal account as Ecwid is set to
5. I’ve left my PayPal ecwid settings totally untouched as recommended by s2m
6. I’ve added in all my PayPal IPN setting etc into s2m as requiredCould you tell me if i should change any other settings in s2memeber or PayPal to resolve this? Or do you think this was unrelated?
many thanks.
PS. I will also post to Ecwid forum about this and will post any reply here FYI.
OK, thanks for that. I’ve asked in a new thread, so if others need the info(assuming it’s answered…) they can find it here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/s2member-profile-field-integration-with-buddypress-profile?
Hi philraymond,
I have the same issue – and all due to setting up the new tabs/field groups/sections in s2member (as instructed) instead of Buddypress. Can you clarify whether you deleted your s2member fields and reinserted them via BP or just copied them? And how does this then work with integration? As this is not the ideal solution I might repost this as a new thread to see if we can get a definitive answer from s2member…
many thanks.
Excellent – all sorted (including the badge query)! many thanks AITpro – great support and info as always.
OK, but is it as effective as the BPS login security? – ie. is it OK to turn off the BPS login security? If so, then my question is answered… if not, then I’d prefer to keep BPS handling the security – which is fine BUT I’d like to have the s2member Verified Badge working too (ie. have my cake and eat it!).
Thanks for the quick reply – I had read and re-read those sections, but was still unsure that it would actually work/wouldn’t mess up my other plugin settings, as it just didn’t look like it would work like that!
I assume I input the same PDT Identity Token that I see in my PayPal>profile>website preferences? (ie. the same one for both plugins?)
However hugely relieved to hear that it’s actually OK – I will continue with it now!
Cheers.

In reply to: [WP-Members Membership Plugin] Is it compatible with Buddypress profile?Yes, interested in this too… And how does that work with the BuddyPress login too?? Cheers.
OK, resized all my images for my menu to exact size (25 x 25px) and compressed for web, and page load much improved. I’m also using another image-heavy plugin so will have to review the whole site for this, but at least i now know where to go.
Many thanks for your help.OK, not sure why, but the button text and hover colours now work as they should do! So sorted for now, and just hope it’s resolved for future buttons too.
Thanks for your input. Thanks for looking at this for me – I had completely forgotten about the tiny thumbnail images in the menu! And I’d just assumed they’d be cropped really small anyway. So I’ll look at resizing all of them when I have a spare hour or so and will report back. I’ll also contact the ubermenu creator and see if there’s a way for his menu to downsize images automatically in the future.
many thanks.
Thanks for your replies – i double checked i’d done that (as i usually do) and found I hadn’t this time. But unfortunately it made no difference even after doing that.
NB: my first page eg above no longer applies. My eg page has changed to this now; http://trevorpenfold.com/competitions/hamilton-zoo-photography-competition-2014/ where the text should remain white and the button hover should change to blue. As you can see it doesn’t!
I’ve checked the page source when looking at it in the browser window, and it does say that the text is #ffffff !important so I’m stuck – any other ideas?
Cheers.
yup, this is the eg page from above: http://trevorpenfold.com/hzp-group/

In reply to: fatal error with /wp-includes/pomo/ filesOK, I was just going back in to do that when I had a php error log alert again, and this time it was heaps of different ones, like this:-
Out of memory (allocated 38010880) (tried to allocate 154687 bytes) in /wp-content/plugins/dynamic-to-top/dynamic-to-top.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/wp-pagenavi/scb/Widget.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/bulletproof-security/includes/functions.php
+ /wp-settings.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/includes/class-fscf-process.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/dynamic-to-top/inc/cssmin-v3.0.1.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/bulletproof-security/includes/hud-dismiss-functions.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/dynamic-to-top/inc/cssmin-v3.0.1.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/ubermenu/core/UberMenuWalkerCore.class.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/wpseo-functions.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/wpseo-functions.php
+ /wp-content/plugins/dynamic-to-top/dynamic-to-top.phpand with a range of ‘tried to allocate’ between 32 bytes – 491520 bytes!
So this covers quite a few of my plugins and a wp file, so maybe it’s nothing to do with them in particular, as my theme and these plugins have been fine for a while now.
Could it be from anything else besides the theme and plugins? is this something I should be worried about?
Cheers.

In reply to: [WP Edit] Can't find how to link to AnchorHi Josh,
Thanks for getting back to me – and it’s sort of nice to know that it can’t do what I thought it could! but a pity anyway. I’m afraid I was out of time and so just set up links to new pages – not the cleanest or quickest of ways, but acceptable for now. But I’ll keep an eye on this thread in case something changes.
Cheers.
