In reply to: Detect User Role and Redirect to a Members-Only pageHi Markus.
Does the plugin have the ability to display two different content types on the same page. In our membership plugin for example you could have the same page handle to sets of logins. so you could basically have to login forms with their own redirects, one would be visible to say your new members and another to the subscribers. the same goes for any content page or post type.
Cheers
Tom
Hi there Baden, this is on our latest to do list and with a major rollout of the full blown version we should be able to turn our attention to the language repository. From now on one of our team will be closely watching things over here to support our free plugins also, and to pick up feedback such as this.
Cheers
Tom

In reply to: Authorize.net Multiple SubscriptionsAaron,
I’m not 100% but I’m pretty sure that you can only add One Subscription to any gateway.
You’d need to find a way to create a subscription for the total of the purchase.
Unfortunately I’m not a coder so I’m at a loss to suggest a specific way to code.

Hello NormanBird,
You’d probably need to start by building the Ad on a Custom Post Type so that you could use the those features in code to restrict access. I’ve not got much advice on how to code it, I only know that this is how ours is built. http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/classifieds/
It doesn’t allow featured Ads, but does require payment for the ability to post and limits the author to their own.

In reply to: private logins for using wpmu dev membership subscription.Hey Marshall!
You would first need to have WordPress multisite enabled: http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network
Then you could use something like ProSites (totally optional, you can allow them to create sites without this, this just lets you setup a Pay to Blog system) and Affiliate to allow your members to create their site.
We even have a great Template Plugin. http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/new-blog-template/
This: Members can not create new subdomains
Would be tricky, unless you wanted to manually create the site yourself, then you’d need to build a contact/request form instead.
As far as being behind a paywall, that’s a little inaccurate. We do have a membership requirement, but that is only for ongoing support and upgrades. What you pay for is the team behind the plugins. You can cancel membership at any time and use the plugins as long as you would like on as many sites as you wish.
The only two exceptions to the rule are the two plugins that require a live API to host, and those are our whitelabel videos and antisplog.
Lemme know if you have any more questions!

In reply to: [Membership 2] Integrated Membership LoginThe catch is this, your users MUST register with the Membership form but can login after registered through wp-login.
So this means you can probably use any login form ONCE THEY ARE REGISTERED. I’m not yelling, sorry 🙂 Only trying to make the point that you might run into an issue of folks trying to register via wp-signup if they see a login area, and if they do so via wp-signup then the Membership Plugin will not recognize them.
Does this help to explain? I hope I was clear,
Best,
Kimberly

In reply to: [Membership 2] Error Uploading Media to the Media LibraryThe media protection and downloads shouldn’t cause an issue, they are only to mask the url’s.
It should be the same process to upload into the /uploads folder as usual.
Have you altered the Actual Download URL in any way? you shouldn’t need to change that.

In reply to: [Membership 2] Membership Lite Login Landing PageHey there Derek!
I’m looking at the settings and it seems that the successful registration landing page is a Premium feature.
It should default back to the homepage on the LITE version.

Hey there!
Have you tried to adjust the thumbnail size in your Site Settings?

In reply to: [Membership 2] Creates membership levels on its ownHey there Kyleheier.
You must define at least one page that is visible or not visible for the plugin to have any basis of logic to determine who should see what.
Best,
