@b-p,
If the image file has already been processed you will not see the API part of the debug output. You need to upload fresh images.
After I click SmushIt Now, then it says no savings. What does that mean?
This generally mean the image was such that the Smush.it service was not able to reduce the size of the image. The Yahoo! Smush.it service tries to remove some of the image meta information in order to reduce the physical size of the image. This is not the same as the image height and width.
Then sometimes, on another one for example, it says reduced by 4% and it has the option to re-smush, and then when I do that, it still stays the same. Why?
Normally, once the image is processed via the Smush.it service this plugin will replace the image on your site with the smaller image provided by the service. It will report the percentage reduction of the image. But the image cannot be reprocessed.

@b-p,
Isn’t this sensitive information by showing all those paths?
Not really. The image URL is public information. If the image is user on any of your pages for example, that same URL is used within the HTML of the page.
Regardless of the path information I’m more interested in the reply information from Smush.it API. Which will look something like
DEBUG: return from API: data stdClass Object ( [src] => http://www.tillhecomes.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/wages-300x120.jpg [error] => Could not get the image [id] => )If you can paste that it would help us help you.
Go to Settings > Media. Look for the Smush.it section. We added a checkbox to enable debug output. Set the checkbox. Then go to your Media > Library. Select 2-3 images which have not been processed via Smush.it. Set the checkbox in the first column. Then from the action dropdown above the media listing select ‘Bulk Smush.it’, then click the button to the right of the drop down.
Once you have some debug output please past it back here so we can review.
Yes, it works. not sure it will effect your theme. As provided in the plugin noted the plugin provides a way to reduce the physical size of the image. This should not effect your theme.
Hi guys,
we have just released new version of the plugin 4.4.5.4 where the issue should be resolved.

In reply to: [Smush – Image Optimization, Compression, Lazy Load, WebP & CDN] Small NoticeHmm. Thought I went through the plugin with PHP error_reporting turned on full. Thanks. Will include this in the next round of changes this week.
