In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Can’t display more than 3 ads per screen.osu9400: I was able to add and remove ‘3’ from the Google Adsense ad, as well as the defaults for Google Adsense. You may be talking about displaying more than 3 Google Adsense ads – this is restricted by Google, not Advertising manager. So, if you try to display 25 Google ads on a page, only 3 google adsense ads will actually appear (and google will serve blanks for the other 22).

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Can’t activate plugin–“fatal error”lauraet:
Hmmm. Your system cannot find the file ‘Tools.php’. Can you check that the following file exists?
/home/content/d/l/d/dldancers/html/wp-content/plugins/advertising-manager/lib/OX/Tools.php
You may want to just delete the ‘advertising-manager’ directory from your plugins directory, and re-install. Let me know if you need help (Skype switzer) and I can try to assist.
Good luck,

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Upgrade seems to have broken stuffartc1209:
osu9400:Check your website to make sure that the Google Adsense code is being displayed (e.g. ‘view source’, and search for the google tag).
If it is, it is likely that Google Adsense is choosing not to display the ad. Usually this is because there are too many Google ads on a page, or google decided that there is some reason that you are not adhering to their terms and conditions (e.g. competitive ads, too many ads per page, etc.)
If the adsense code is not in your page, then it is likely that you have rules in Advertising Manager which restricts the ad to display on the blog. For example, if the ad should display for a particular author, but on your site the article is not by that author.
Good luck,

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Ad not appearing on live siteThe PHP code that you should ad is:
<?php advman_ad(‘name’); ?>
Where ‘name’ is the name of the ad that you want to display.

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Documentation Site is downquanin:
hightechdad:Yes – the documentation is hosted on Redmine, which is a ruby based issue tracking/wiki/version control system. It seems like it is not up to the task of simply hosting docs while not going down π
I am talking with the folks at OpenX to see if it is a configuration problem, or if there is a newer version. If nothing else fails we will move it to Trac or something similar.
Appreciate your patience here – I fully know how difficult it is to navigate a new product without documentation.

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] unable to add ad after moving to live sitejohnbl4ck:
Traffic should not be the issue – especially because you are getting errors in admin rather than on your blog page. I have not tested with W3 Total Cache plugin. I will try to test with this and let you know the results.

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Automatically turn off ad after x impressionssapeople:
Advertising manager is not there yet. It currently only displays views today. In the (hopefully near) future there will be a separate screen which displays stats.

In reply to: Two different tags for my plugin project – causing issuesYes please. Also, how did ‘advertising-manager-1’ become a popular tag in the first place? (Wanting to know so that it does not happen again). In addition, is it possible to delete the ‘advertising-manager-1’ tags from the posts (some are tagged as both), so that someone does not use it for future posts?
Many thanks,

In reply to: Rotating ads with Advertising ManagerSupporter1984:
Just name them the same – and they will rotate. You can play around with the weights to change how often each ad displays.

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Widget shows on posts, not pagesFishingTim:
Hmm.. seems strange. I went to your site, and verified that the one on the bottom loads fine, but the one in the sidebar does not. I copied your ad code and placed it onto a blank page, and both codes work fine. Therefore, there can be two issues:
1. The ad code is not working inside your theme
2. Google is blocking the second ad (the sidebar one) for some reason. What I suggest you do is to replace the Google ads with a basic one (e.g. in the HTML, just type in ‘AD 1’ and ‘AD 2’ for each ad. Verify that these ads display correctly, then switch ‘AD 1’ to the first Google ad. If this works, switch ‘Ad 2’ to the second Google ad. If that works, then great. If not, try showing ‘AD 2’ with Google while leaving the first ad as ‘AD 1’.
Good luck,

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] How do I get AD Codes?modismo.blog:
Advertising Manager helps place ads on your blog, but does not (yet!) automate signing up for an advertising program.
Also, Advertising Manager does not yet manage ad images without some manual work.
That said, it really should, so I will put this on the list.
Many thanks,

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] PHP Fatal Errorchristianebuddy:
Sorry to hear this. I fix bugs as fast as I can. Can you please let me know the version of WordPress and PHP that you are using? Also, any additional information about how you installed, and what other plugins you are using would be helpful.
There have been one or two others with this issue, and they reinstalled and the problem went away. I am not saying that this is not an issue – it could be because the advertising manager data was corrupted somehow.

In reply to: Ad my own ads to Advertising Managerjakobonline:
You are right – you found the way to upload your own ad. Advertising manager should allow you to upload an image or flash file, which it does not yet do. I will keep this on the list for a future version.
