You are able to search tickets in our Pro add-on using the Support Help-desk
Thats a great idea! We will definitely consider implementing the option to change the default status of a ticket as well as minimum requirements to submit a ticket.

The plugin allows for editing (And can be done on the front-end), however you are required to be logged in to do so.
