In reply to: Occasional breakage in theme listFrom my limited understanding of it all Marc, any deletion of a theme or if a theme will not load correctly etc, will return the user to the chosen theme by the site owner – not necessarily Kubrick.
A new visitor sees the theme that you chose in presentation via the admin panel.
But I may be wrong π

In reply to: Occasional breakage in theme listInteresting article. Thanks Ryan.
Pardon my ignorance but where would be the best place to place this? I tried placing it in functions.php but it gave me errors each time.
function get_theme_data($theme_file) {
$theme_data = implode('', file($theme_file));// fixing the theme page so it's easier.to deal with mac & pc
$theme_data = preg_replace("/r/","n",$theme_data);Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Occasional breakage in theme list@vkaryl
Copied that in and it still breaks.
It’s a bit weird and has happened with a few of the themes as there is no sense or reason with it.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: picture alignment in post!!!Setting it all up through CSS is probably the best option:

But, a quick option in each post is to use

In reply to: Theme Support: ponderingIt’s a pretty complciated thing, seeing as there are 139 themes,
Thing is, there are almost 250 themes now [139 entered for the contest yes, but that doesn’t mean they are the only ones.]
I think that once a designer opens their theme to the public they also open it to criticism, possible breakage and the inevitable alteration and change. The latter will often lead to problems and people will turn to the forums for assistance as many of the designers will not have enough time to deal with support issues.
I support Podz’ idea and believe a new topic area may be the best option.

In reply to: Posterwire.combut much more importantly for me, good content. Well done on creating a useful resource for a much needed niche!

In reply to: Finding 1.5 themes the easy wayJust a small update again.
After almost 10 hours straight I have made some major changes to the WordPress Reference Centre.
It now lists over 200 WP 1.5 themes, has been updated to Strayhorn from a previous nightly, a whole new design and layout and a few new posts to boot.
The other big news is that it now has nearly 100 of the themes listed active on the site for people to peruse when choosing a theme.
I need to take a break [wash, eat socialise – you know – human things] and I will try to add the next 100 themes over the next couple of days.
Let me know what you think. Hopefully it will be of some use to people π

In reply to: Dutch help ???Thanks McMike. Not sure if you saw the comment on your site but I tried your shoutbox plugin which looks very effective except that it was only running for two minutes and I then started to get an influx of spam from texas holdem – those great great guys that they are…
I have taken it down for now as I have a few other things happening but if you know how to stop the spam from happening, I would like to try again.
Any ideas?
Je hebt een leuke site, en dank je wel voor het delen van de plug- ins.

In reply to: Over 170 WP1.5 themesIf you were to go to say, let’s see, the WordPress Reference Centre, which is open to anyone and everyone who wants to be involved, you will find that what you wish for is already there….
It needs input and will only ever be as good as that input but it has been around now for some time and is linked on many sites.
Perhaps to save yourself the enormous workload you envisage, why not use that as an option. It is not about glory. It is located in a neutral subdomain and it is open to whatever direction people feel like taking it. I am not worried about bandwidth and/or resources and if it gets too big then a new server would be the next stage.
You can splash your name all over it and that would not be an issue to me, you can have adminstrator rights, the whole caboodle.
And just to make it even easier – over 150 of the themes are already listed.
