  • Go to line 6 in the sidebar.php and replace me.jpg with your own

    <p class="center"><img alt="Your hero" src="/wp-content/themes/operate/images/me.jpg" />

Make sure your image is in the images directory

A new day and the same old problem.

Does anyone feel like having a look at this site and seing if they can spot the issue?

I think there may be a few around but one of them which I can vouch for is this one at
    http://chris.coggburn.us/wp-content/downloads/titleimages2.zip

Chris offers no support for it anymore but it is easy and I am sure others on here will lend a helping hand if the need arises πŸ™‚

    Intsructions within the zip.

It looks like you are on top of it when it comes to maintaining the list of themes macmanx. Good job πŸ™‚

As you know, it is a time-consuming process and one which I would prefer to leave to someone else. At the time of my compiling the list on my site, I felt there was a need for it [for myself if no-one else]. However, with so many lists becoming available I will now stop maintaining mine and redirect people to the codex instead.

Also, as you have pointed out, there are others who seem to be keen to have the biggest and best list. This was never my aim and indeed, the process meant I had to change servers at one point due to the influx of visitors to the site.

Good luck with keeping the list up to date and perhaps if you are really lucky, the others might join forces with you and help you to maintain the codex, as opposed to everyone running round waving their own banners.

    Thanks πŸ™‚

Well, took the whole index page out of the root altogether and still the same, so put it back.

Is there anthing else in phpmyadmin I should look for ?

Found a .htaccess file in root of domain with nothing in it…but deleted it just to make sure and still no change.

I keep hearing music – like the Twilight Zone theme πŸ™‚

That’s the problem. There is no .htaccess or any javascripts. I did a clean install so only the base WP files are in there plus a list of themes.

Iam a bit stumped to be honest [and that is frustrating me immensely].

    Hi Podz,

Any idea where and what I am looking for. If it is happening to all themes then it must be in the root?

It’s quite strange to be honest. I can change the themes and the layout structure changes when I do, but no colours or designs.

The site is here btw – it’s not mine , I am just trying to help out.

    @macmanx
Yes It’s all where it should be and it happens with classic and the WP default themes too.

So, it took a while but yes the siteurl and home values are as they should be so does anyone have any other ideas as to what it might be?

I just added it to the 1.5 themes list on my site Randy and also installed it so people can see what it looks like on a full site with graphics and the whole caboodle.

    One thing:
I use hspace and vspace in my posts when adding images to avoid text being too close. Obviously, it can be done in the CSS but with so many themes on display on the site, I try to make sure things do not get too messed up in the mix.

In your them the images slide right near to the text though. Out of interest, any ideas as to why?

Nice theme – thanks for sharing.

I am using it McMike and it is very cool so far.

I was finding the input of code each time to be a pain initially so I worked around that by adding some CSS but it would still be nice to have the ability to set up a layout which is there each time you add a new quote.

..but, just thinking out loud. A great plugin – thanks for sharing πŸ™‚

    Thanks Macmanx.

It’s one of these long drawn out exercises where you help someone and each step is a 4 hour wait between emails etc…

    Yes of course Root.

Anyone and everyone is allowed as long as it is a WordPress powered site.

We also ask that each site is limited to a maximum of two categories in the nominations as it was getting a bit our of hand when people submitted their sites in ALL categories.

The overall response has been excellent so far and the CONTENT of some of the sites has been very very time consuming. In other words – great to read!

    Head over to http://shadows.os42.com/2005/03/09/content-is-everything/
and submit your sites. The judges don’t want to lead normal lives anyway!
