In reply to: [Media Tags] media-tags.3.1.2.1.zip not available for downloadDon’t know. The whole download zip portion of that is controlled by WordPress.org not the plugin developer. I just tried and it downloaded fine.

In reply to: [Media Tags] Media Tags metabox shown on Pages/Posts/etcProbably not. As noted in this thread the issue was really a bug. Having the Media-Tags section on a normal post type like Posts/Pages was wrong. It should really only be displayed on Media/Attachment/Image hence the name of the plugin ‘Media-Tags’.

In reply to: [Media Tags] Deprecated: Function split()Are you sure you are running Media-Tags 3.1.2.1
This was one of the changes I made to the code to replace split() with explode().

In reply to: [Media Tags] Allow attachments to copy to different posts@peter Baumgartner,
Apologies for my late reply. I’ve read your post a few times and I’m sorry but to say I’m confused. The Media-Tags plugin is used to tag media items. Much like you would add tags to Posts. So I’m not sure what you are asking for with copying.

In reply to: [Taxonomy Images] I want to add Taxonomy Image to Media-Tags pageWell and the other technical issue with where to store the association of the Media-Tags term id to the selected image id.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Taxonomy Images] I want to add Taxonomy Image to Media-Tags pageSo basically you want to assign an image to each of the Media-Tags term? Would this be selected from the images within that taxonomy term?
So thinking this through. You have have defined 3 Media-Tags terms: Vacations, Birthdays, Family. and you have 100 images in your Media library. Some are tagged into each of the Media-Tags terms. some are tagged into multiple or all three terms.
How would your plan work with the image? Are you manually selecting ‘the’ term image to associate with the Media-Tag term? Is it random? In that case you would not really need an interface on the Taxonomy term management screen.
Just some thoughts. Cool idea. I know a few professional photographers who use my Media-Tags plugins and have a need to show a term image on the front-end. So for like weddings, Portraits, Landscapes, etc. I guess a way they can assign the image would be cool.

In reply to: [Simply Exclude] Plugin does nothingWhen I changed it to All Loops all other posts went away on the widget as well as the Latest News page. The only post that was showing was the one I was trying to hide…
Ok. On that same settings page just above the setting you just changed you will see a list of actions (see image http://screencast.com/t/xrLiZ57tQSH )
The actions control including or excluding the selected category from the action. MY guess is for the action ‘Widget:Categories’ you have set to ‘include only’. This mean what is says. To include only the selected category and hide all others. Try setting it to ‘exclude’.

In reply to: [Simply Exclude] Plugin does nothingWas this working for an older version of Simply Exclude? Or have you just recently installed the plugin?
A lot is defendant on how your theme pulls posts from the WordPress engine. The Simply Exclude cannot filter all queries. It was designed to filter only four common queries within WordPress: is_home, is_archive, is_feed, is_search.
I see on your site in the left sidebar area the post ‘SPECIAL THANK YOU’s!’ What exactly is displayed there? Is that a widget? Which one?
In your wp-admin try going to the Simply Exclude settings screen. On the Taxonomies > Category section you should see an option for ‘Query Filtering’. IF this is set to ‘Main Loop Only’ try setting it to ‘All Loops’.

In reply to: [Media Tags] Use post_tagsUm, no. You don’t need Media-Tags then. Just set the post_tags and use the built-in WordPress functions.
But there is a difference. Let me try and explain. When you create a Post and assign a post_tag you create that relationship. For images which are attachments, WordPress does not provide any method to classify these into categories/tags. This is where Media-Tags comes into play. It allows you to associate a media-tag (similar to post_tag) with an attachment.
