In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway] button disappearedHi holdportals, jasonpage2015,
Can you confirm that the buttons are no longer showing up after simply upgrading the plugin version, with no change in settings? Or is this with Smart Payment Buttons enabled?
Thank you,
Paul
Hi 2bulbs,
A fix will be included in the next release (due next week), but in the meantime, the warning can be avoided by setting “Hide Funding Method(s)” to “PayPal Credit”, which appears to be unsupported for your store in any case.
Thank you for reporting this – hope that helps!
Paul
Hi Goldendust20,
Unless the status shows up in red, it isn’t an error, and is only meant to be informational.
Upon testing live rates calculation with a location that doesn’t qualify for any other zone that you may have set up, you should see a change to this status.
Let us know if you encounter any other sources of confusion.
Cheers,
Paul

Hi asik09,
Thank you for reporting this. We are considering changing the date from “tomorrow” to “today” so that the specific issue you encountered does not happen again – unless this causes any other problems, this should fixed in the next week or so – and we may also add a shipping date picker in the future.
Regards,
Paul

In reply to: [WooCommerce Tax (formerly WooCommerce Shipping & Tax)] WC Shipping errorHi donescobar,
I’d like to try and reproduce this issue to see what the cause might be. A few pieces of information may help:
– What is your origin ZIP?
– Which USPS shipping services have you enabled?
– Are you seeing the same issue no matter what is in your cart? What are the weights and dimensions of the items in your cart? Thanks,
Paul
Hi zanza321,
What you’re observing is a consequence of the shipping service selection per cart, rather than per item. We don’t currently offer (but can look into adding in the future) the cheapest rate per package as an option alongside (or instead of) the individual services.
As a somewhat more manual alternative (in case this suits your needs), the Advanced Shipping Packages plugin gives you quite a bit of flexibility in splitting items among “shipping packages” that you configure, each of which will have its own shipping rate selection in the cart / at checkout.
Hope that helps somewhat, and thanks for reaching out and reporting this!
Regards,
Paul
Hi 1momma1,
Thanks for getting in touch. The error notice you are seeing appears when rates are requested from the cart or checkout page, and an error is encountered. We are working out some issues around the display of errors in the plugin – these will be fixed in the next version – but you can enable “Logging” on that status page in order to see logs in the “Debug” section.
In any case, please make sure you have shipping weights set for your products (and you’ll probably want to enter dimensions as well), as this is a typical reason for shipping rate requests to fail. Let us know if this error still shows up for you at that point.
Hope that helps!
Paul
Hi yasminlp,
We don’t currently support having nexus in multiple states, but the TaxJar for WooCommerce plugin — from which the tax functionality in WooCommerce Services is adapted — may be what you need. Here are some instructions for configuring your sales tax nexus locations using that plugin.
Hope that helps!

Paul

In reply to: [WooCommerce Tax (formerly WooCommerce Shipping & Tax)] WC Shipping errorHi donescobar,
A few questions to try and get to the bottom of this issue. On that status page, are you seeing “No service data available” under Health » WooCommerce Services Data? If so, does clicking “Refresh” to manually load the service data make a difference?
Also, have you configured the settings for this shipping method in WooCommerce » Settings » Shipping » [zone] » USPS?
Regards,
Paul
Hi scottsiegel78,
That status message is actually not part of the error log. The logs will show up after you enable “Logging” below — they should actually show up when “Logging” is disabled as well but you may be encountering a bug (that will be fixed in the next release) in which they do not.
In any case, it’s likely you are encountering an issue related to live rates, such as missing shipping weights for your products. Once you successfully test live rates, that “No rate requests have yet been made” message should change.
Hope that helps, and let us know if we can clarify any further.

Hi @wpadminguy,
The “zone” in this context is dependent on distance between origin and destination, so if, for instance, you had tested your own zip code as both the shipping method origin and the customer location, it should be Zone 1 — not applicable for USPS Retail Ground, which works with zones 5–9.
Hope that helps — and do let us know if it still doesn’t show up when testing with distant zip codes (such as 10001 and 90001).

Hi duff1,
In my testing, the prices match the “Find a Rate” tool on http://www.canadapost.ca — I’d like to look into this further by trying to see the issue first-hand. What are the dimensions of your product? Also, are you seeing a discrepancy with a specific service, or with all of them? Can you also confirm that no price adjustment has been configured in the Canada Post shipping method settings?
As for the debug output, at this point it doesn’t show up on every page load, but you should see a description of the newly calculated rate when updating it in the cart or checkout page: e.g. changing the destination postcode or an item quantity.

Hi duff1,
Can you confirm the service and addresses are the same?
If so, it’s possible the items are being packed into a differently sized box for the purposes of live rates. In WooCommerce Services 1.12, you can enable debug mode from WooCommerce -> Status -> WooCommerce Services -> Debug, which will indicate how the rate was arrived at.
Hope that’s helpful. Do let us know if there’s still an unexpected discrepancy, and please include the details of the package you are providing to Canada Post. Thanks!
Paul
