Hello!
The article:tag is specific to social open graph meta and has been removed from the Yoast SEO plugin as social media is no longer using it.
If you still want to add the article:tag on your articles, you’ll need to add the customization given here in your theme functions.php file.
Hello!
We’re sorry you’re having trouble using the Yoast SEO plugin. Let’s get to the bottom of it.
First of all, can you please make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress (5.6), Yoast SEO (15.7), and the latest version of your theme and ALL other plugins?
If everything’s updated on your end and the issue persists, can you please check on your browser’s console if there are Javascript errors? You may follow the steps here.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO - Advanced SEO with real-time guidance and built-in AI] Rich DataHello @seoyacine!
Are you referring to Google sitelinks? Sitelinks are automatically generated by Google based on your site structure. It’s not based on our plugin’s settings. Google is kind of tricky though when it comes to Sitelinks. Learn more about it here: https://yoast.com/ask-yoast-how-to-get-sitelinks/
Hello @sharonbendavar!
Sorry for the trouble. We’ve just released version 4.1 a few hours ago. Is that the version you’re having an issue with? If not, please update the plugin first and see if the issue persists.
Hello @pixelicous!
It’s called Yoast WooCommerce SEO and it’s actually a premium product. Learn more about it here: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/yoast-woocommerce-seo/
Hello Caroline,
Sorry for the confusion.
We’ve addressed your concerns as follows.
1. Multiple H1s
By default, the page or post title is set to H1. So if you have another H1 tag on the content body, even just one, the plugin will inform you of an extra H1 tag. Also, can you please confirm, by checking the page’s source code, if there’s only one H1?2. Keyphrase not in introduction
This warning is often thrown out if there is an HTML element, code, image, or whitespace around the keyphrase which is affecting Yoast’s ability to scan for it. Can you please switch to classical or code view and inspect the post and check if there’s anything above the first paragraph?Hello Becky,
When you update a post in WordPress, the Yoast plugin updates the Last Modified date in the XML sitemap as well as the dateModified property in the schema output. Google will parse all this information and will not result in Google ignoring either of the dates. However, as you can read in this article by Google, it will be up to them to decide which date to show (modified date or published date), and ultimately, it will be up to them also to decide whether or not a date is shown in the search results.
Hello!
There’s no option to remove the schema markup generated by Yoast SEO, however, you can use a filter found here.
Unfortunately, there’s a difference between the support we can offer and the level of programming needed to change (core) features of our plugin. Although we can’t help you with customization, you’re completely free to change anything in the plugin to better suit your needs.
Hello!
Sorry for the trouble.
We need you to check for conflicts. To do that, please switch to a standard theme like Twenty-Twenty and deactivate all non-Yoast plugins. See if the issue occurs. If not, reactivate your plugins one at a time and see if the issue occurs again for every plugin reactivated. Lastly, switch back to your theme.
Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to perform a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.
