Hi, @dallascrilley.
Glad you reached out. I can help you
Currently, we do not have an easy way to edit the description because it’s the default we use. However, if you know a bit of coding, you can use this code snippet as a starting point to customize what it should look like:
https://gist.github.com/matheuswd/34dc1cca433e5006fed5e63daaed1743
If you need assistance implementing custom PHP code on your website we have this guide:
https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/adding-custom-functions-to-your-wordpress-website/
Please note that this code snippet is provided as an example of how you can extend GiveWP with code. It’s up to you to implement and customize to your liking. We cannot provide support for custom code on your website, only the code that we create and distribute.
Feel free to reach out to us if you have any further inquiries or require additional assistance. We’re always happy to help!
Hi, @demo7up.
You said you’ve been paying for GiveWP, correct? You can reach out to our dedicated support team via https://givewp.com/priority-support/, and they will be more than happy to assist you.
I do apologize for our slow turnaround here on free support.
Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!
Hi, @jbterra.
What kind of form are you using? Is it an option-based form OR a form created using the visual donation form builder? Can you send us a link where we can see the form?
I do apologize for our slow turnaround on this one. Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!
Hi, @ojasya.
We would like to dig deeper to understand what is happening. Can you reach out to us via our contact form at https://givewp.com/contact-us/? Use the option that says “I am responding to a request to contact you.” Provide the link to this thread as context, your system info, etc. and we will happily help you.
I’m marking it as resolved here, and when a fix is provided, I’ll update this post.
Hi, @yu1122.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard back, and I know troubleshooting needs a little extra time. I’m marking this as resolved for now, but if you still have questions, you can send them along right here, and I’ll be happy to hop back in.
Have a great day!

Hi @emgb_520.
Glad you reached out! Happy to clarify.
When you create a new form using our Visual Form Builder, new users are always created, this is intentional, and it is not possible to disable it.While developing the Visual Donation Form Builder, our team thought very carefully about how we should handle access to private information, such as receipts, managing subscriptions, and donation history.
In previous versions, we had our own authentication system to verify donor logins independent of WordPress’ own system.
This led to some considerable pain points for admins and donors, primarily with caching of authenticated pages and maintaining security.
Instead of trying to maintain our own security measures, we decided to use the time-tested and well-maintained, native WordPress permissions system. That’s why every donor is added to Users.
One of our colleagues also provided a more in-depth answer to another inquiry about this previously in the WordPress support forum: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-user-record-created-for-a-donor/.Using WordPress users to manage donor access to private information improves safety and reduces risk for organizations and donors alike, and we do not plan to reverse this decision. It also allows plugins such as Solid Security to build upon the security systems. With that in mind, we closed this request to prevent new users from being created for V3 forms.
However, we are interested in learning more about how you would like to manage donors and access in general. You can still comment on the post (that I linked below) if you’d like to share more information. We may be able to find another solution that meets your needs.
You can also read this on this archived (and closed) article — https://feedback.givewp.com/feature-requests/p/vfb-forms-should-have-an-option-to-create-users-or-not.
Please let me know if you have further questions. I’m always happy to help!
Hi, @jane-shakespeare.
Glad you reached out. Happy to help!
There are two reasons you’ll see that type of error
1. Currency not enabled for a gateway
It sounds like you’ve already got this covered but I’ll mention it anyways 😊. Navigate to Donations >> Settings >> Currency Switcher >> {Gateways} and ensure that GB is enable for Stripe.2. Exchange rates not fetched
Navigate to Donations >> Settings >> Currency Switcher, scroll down, and make sure all currencies have an exchange rate. Scroll down that page, Fetch Exchange Rates, and save. Then test the form again. This issue is related to our Currency Switcher add-on, and we are not allowed to support it here. If you need help from our team, you can reach out via Priority Support here: https://givewp.com/priority-support.
Have a good day!
Hi, @krissieg.
Glad you reached out! Happy to clarify.
Currently, there is no way to set a default country for forms made using the Visual Form builder. However, there’s a feature request for what you’re asking about: https://feedback.givewp.com/feature-requests/p/create-a-default-country-for-the-billing-details-block-in-vfb-forms.
We are actively tracking user feedback to understand further the needs you all have. You can use the link to check in for updates or to provide additional details of your own. I would encourage you to comment on that post about the impact this would have on your organization. Information like that is always helpful for our teams to see. I’ve also linked your ticket internally, so if this feature request is developed, we can reach out to update you.
Give the post above a look, and let me know if there are any additional details you would like me to add. I want to ensure your need is as accurately reflected as possible, and I’m happy to include an internal note to our teams with any specific information you would like them to have.
Please let me know if you have further questions or other concerns.
I’m always happy to help.
