Hi, @flaxtrade.
It would be important to check what code you are trying to add. Please send it here so we can test it.
Also, please send along your System Info.
Navigate to Donations –> Tools –> System Info (tab) and click the button to “Get System Report” and copy/paste that in your reply here.
That will give me some more context to be able to help.
Hi, @biblegamesproject.
Glad you reached out. Let’s get this fixed!
The first thing I need you to check is the permalinks. From what I can see in the email you sent us is that you are likely using plain permalinks. Can you choose another one, such as a post name?
You can edit your permalinks under settings > permalinks.
After that, let me know how it goes. If it still doesn’t work, I’ll need some more information from you.

Hi, @kdobbe12.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard back, and I know troubleshooting needs a little extra time. I’m marking this as resolved for now, but if you still have questions, you can send them along right here, and I’ll be happy to hop back in.
Have a great day!

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Donation 1€/dayHi, @sofiafraga.
Glad you reached out.
What you can do is create a donation level for 30 EUR, and then, on the legend, you say something like “1 Euro per day”.
Your settings would look like this: https://imgur.com/a/FyW4UJf
Your form would look like this: https://imgur.com/a/ya5vY8V
Since it would require the Recurring Donations add-on, you can reach out to our team via Priority Support here https://givewp.com/priority-support/ and we can give you more instructions.
Thanks for using GiveWP! Have a great day.
Hi, @isgjojo.
Glad you reached out. I can help you fix this issue.
That error indicates the the “uploads” folder in your WordPress installation is not writable. This is a server permissions error. Your server is restricting the necessary access to complete this action.
My first recommendation would be to make sure that all the software on your site is updated. The easiest way to do this, from your WordPress dashboard, go to Dashboard > Updates and update WordPress, your theme, and any out of date plugins.
If the problem persists, notify your host and ask them what they can do to edit these permissions.
Keep me posted. Let me know how things go.

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Clear all donationsHi, @rudirodolfo.
Glad you reached out.
You can delete the donation data by navigating to donations > tools > data > recount stats. There, you will have some delete options you can use.
Bear in mind that once you delete it, we do not have a way to recover your donation data back, unless you create a backup of it and restore it in the future.
Please let us know if you have further questions or need additional assistance!
Hi, @mosolyes.
GiveWP is working properly. Do you need assistance with anything?
Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!
Hi, @kdobbe12.
Glad you reached out.
The first thing I suggest here is that you restore a backup of your site so you can accept donations on it while we investigate the issue.
Then, on a staging site, you will update GiveWP, its add-ons and any other plugins you have to the latest version.
A staging site is an exact copy of your live site, but that is hidden from other users and that people use to test things before modifying the live site. Creating a staging site may not be easy, so your hosting company will be able to help you with that since they have access to your server and site.
Then, on the staging site, you will check if you can still make donations after you update everything. If you can’t, let us know. And if you get a critical error like that, typically, this error means some broken code is causing your site to crash. It is a WordPress system-generated message that means something has caused a PHP fatal error.
Whenever you see that message, a more detailed error log has been sent to the main admin email address (which you can configure at Settings > General in the main WordPress settings).
Check that email, and then pass along any error messages you are receiving so we can help. Every time you see that error, it sends another email. If you need to, you can trigger a new email to be able to see the error message again.
If you don’t see that error in your email (WordPress emails are notoriously unreliable that way), you’ll need to ask your host for the error logs. They will be able to send you a complete record of the errors on your site. Once they provide you with this file, send it to us, and we will be able to identify the issue and move toward a resolution for you.
Your success with online donations is our number one priority. Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!
Hi, @webimpian.
Glad you reached out.
For a bit of context, this is the order of how GiveWP works with the payment gateway to process the donation:
1. The donor fills out the donation form and submits the donation.
2. A donation (and subscription, if applicable) is created on the GiveWP side and set to “pending.”
3. All of the information is sent to the gateway to process the transaction, as well as ongoing subscription renewals.
4. The gateway processes it and notifies the site (via the webhook or IPN) that it went through.
5. GiveWP processes that webhook/IPN and sets the donation to complete.
If the webhook/IPN is unable to reach your site for any reason, the donation will remain “Pending” and eventually change to “Abandoned”.
This is an automatic process and you do not need to change its status manually.
Please let us know if you have further questions or need additional assistance!
Hi, @mosolyes.
Glad you reached out. I can help you change the wording.
You can change the GiveWP wording using Loco Translate (the easy way). Loco Translate facilitates this process because you can create a custom translation for the same language that you are using on your site.
We have a tutorial for it here: https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/translating-give/translating-givewp-with-loco-translate/#modify-the-wording-using-loco-translate.
Please let us know if you have further questions or need additional assistance!
Hey @flaxtrade.
Glad you reached out.
Are you creating custom fields using custom code on your website? Since the error says “Checkbox does not exist”and comes from the Fields API, I want to check it.
Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!
Hey, @davidpotter.
It looks like we were typing our messages at the same time! I’m glad you were able to upload the plugin and it’s working.
Next time you have issues, reach out via Priority Support and our team will happily help you.
Thanks for using GiveWP! Have a great day.
Hi, @davidpotter.
Putting myself in your shoes, I would restore a backup of your site so you are up and running again, receiving donations on your website.
Then, I’d deactivate the Form Field Manager add-on, update GiveWP, update the Form Field Manager add-on, and then activate it again. Some people needed to follow this process.
Can you let em know if it works for you? Also, since you are using the Form Field Manager add-on and is a paid user, you can reach out to our team via Priority Support here https://givewp.com/priority-support/.
Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!
