We’ve investigated it and we found that you’ve uncovered an edge-case issue with our Venmo integration. What is happening is that the Venmo option does not show up on mobile or diverse conditions.
For example, PayPal’s own documentation indicates that Venmo will only appear in Safari on an iPhone, and only when the Venmo app is installed.
But we have tested it previously and it worked on different browsers too, so we need to find out what is going on and discuss it with the payment gateway.

Yes, Venmo is certainly an option when using GiveWP. To use Venmo, you need to use PayPal Donations and enable it over there.

We’ve seen some reports of this issue and they were all related to corrupted donations on the back end. Can you check your donations under donations > donations and check for corrupted donations?
These donations might not have a form name, a donor, or the donation amount equal to 0. If there are donations like that, you will need to delete them.
Before taking any steps for troubleshooting or updating, I highly recommend taking a good backup of the site you can confidently restore from. Having a backup of your site is essential to a solid workflow, and will allow you to restore to a previous version of the site if you run into any issues. You can enable the Donor Comments functionality by navigating to donations > all forms > click to edit your form > form fields > Donor Comments. You can enable it on a per-form basis or globally too.
Regarding adding a section where you explain what the comment field is for, you need to insert text using WP hooks to reposition it. It’s complicated.
