    Hi, myselfmani.

As the add-on is a premium feature, we’re unable to provide support here. However, you can reach out to our dedicated support team via https://givewp.com/priority-support/, and they will be more than happy to assist you.

We’re looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this issue!

    Hi, @emmanuelkuebu.

    I’m glad you reached out.

Currently, we don’t have a built-in function to filter users based on the donation form they used. However, this is achievable through custom code.

As an example, we have a repository with information on creating custom shortcodes. You can find examples here: Custom Shortcodes Repository.

While this may not provide an immediate solution, it serves as a starting point for creating your custom shortcode.

Thanks for choosing GiveWP! Have a great day.

    HI there.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard back, and I know troubleshooting needs a little extra time. I’m marking this as resolved for now, but if you still have questions, you can send them along right here, and I’ll be happy to hop back in.

    Have a great day!

    Hi, @saadfarhan12.

    Glad you reached out.

We’ve investigated it and we found that you’ve uncovered an edge-case issue with our Venmo integration. What is happening is that the Venmo option does not show up on mobile or diverse conditions.

For example, PayPal’s own documentation indicates that Venmo will only appear in Safari on an iPhone, and only when the Venmo app is installed.

But we have tested it previously and it worked on different browsers too, so we need to find out what is going on and discuss it with the payment gateway.

I’ve escalated this to our development team so they can work on a fix. You can follow up on the progress of the fix here: .

We are actively tracking user issues to make sure our dev team is aware of them and can get them fixed. You can use the link to check in for updates or to provide additional details of your own.

Give the post above a look, and let me know if you would like me to add any additional details. I want to ensure your need is as accurately reflected as possible, and I’m happy to include an internal note to our teams with any specific information you would like them to have.

While we work on a fix, feel free to message us if you have further questions or need any additional assistance!

    Hi, @flamand.

Glad you reached out. I can clarify here.

Cookies are small pieces of text sent to your browser by a website you visit. They help that website remember information about your visit, which can both make it easier to visit the site again and make the site more useful to you.

For this reason, the best option would be to allow users to create their account. For it, you could use the register shortcode to register users, and the login shortcode to let users log in. You can read about them here:

Then, when they access your website, you check if they are logged in or not, and display/hide the ads.

From my point of view, this would be the best approach.

Thanks for using GiveWP! Have a great day.

    Hi, @meezlife.

    Glad you reached out.

Every time a donation is made on your site – or attempted, GiveWP creates a new entry on the logs section on the dashboard that gives us further information on what is happening. Can you send me logs for when you try to make a donation and get the errors below? You can find the logs under Donations > Tools > Logs.

Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!

    Hi, @kenryan.

    Glad you reached out.

Indeed, there are a few items we need to polish on the v3 forms. And the user registration is one of them. I reported it to the development team here: https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/user-registration-should-work-on-v3-forms.

Even though I love v3 forms, if it doesn’t fit your needs yet, I encourage you to stick with v2 forms for now.

    Hi, @mbio86.

    Glad you reached out.

What is likely happening here is that you are using an outdated version of the PO file. In this case, on TranslatePress, you need to sync the latest file with the latest translations you have.

I know that when using Loco Translate, there is a sync button you click and it works. You need to find this option for TranslatePress.

I’ve tested it and it worked correctly on my end.

    Hi, @lbowlydesign.

    Glad you reached out.

We’ve tested this scenario of having two webhooks to the same domain and it was not a problem. What we know is that in PHP 8+, the webhook URL causes a fatal error, while not preventing donations. You can see it here: https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/the-stripe-webhook-endpoint-should-not-fatal-error-in-php-8.

I’m happy to dig deeper into this issue, but I’ll need steps to replicate the issue you are facing. Unless I can do that reliably, I’m relatively stuck.

Lastly, I do apologize for my slow turnaround on this one.

Your success with online donations is our number one priority. Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!

    Hi, @

You’ve uncovered an issue that we are investigating here: https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/paypal-order-id-missing-error-should-not-prevent-donations-using-paypal-donation. You can use the link to check in for updates, and I’ve also linked your ticket internally, so when the issue is resolved we can reach back out to update you.

This particular error has been a bit of a white whale for our teams, in part because it is generated by PayPal, and in part because we are unable to reliably replicate it. The PayPal order id is sent as a part of the response to the call to PayPal, so it’s sent by PayPal itself. However, our development team is working on a possible fix for it. Possibly, a fix will be released this next Wednesday.

At the moment, our best recommendation is for PayPal Donations users who are experiencing this error to switch to Stripe as an alternative gateway whenever possible.

I know this was quite a bit of unhappy information to share, and I wish that weren’t the case.

My goal is to make online donations as successful and seamless as possible for you, so please let me know if you have any questions about this; I’m happy to help as much as I possibly can. If you’d like more information or a walkthrough for the workarounds I mentioned, I’m happy to field any questions you have about those as well.

Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!

    Hi, @stefanomgr.

    Glad you reached out.

I’ve tested the close-form functionality using the visual form builder and it worked correctly, so we need to narrow down the possibilities of conflicts you might be facing.

Here is how I would test for possible conflicts:

    Step 1: Disable Plugins

    1. In the dashboard, navigate to the “Plugins” menu on the left sidebar. You will see a list of all your installed plugins. Select the checkboxes next to the plugins you want to disable.
    2. After deactivating the plugins, visit your website to see if the issue has been resolved. If it’s fixed, the problem was likely caused by one of the plugins.

Step 2: Enable Plugins One by One

    1. To identify the specific plugin causing the issue, re-enable your plugins one at a time.
    2. After reactivating each plugin, check your website to see when the issue reappears. This will help you pinpoint the problematic plugin.
    3. Once you identify the problematic plugin, you can leave it deactivated, update it, or seek support for a fix.

    Step 3: Troubleshoot Themes
If the issue persists even after deactivating plugins, you may need to check if your theme is causing the problem.

    1. Go to the “Appearance” menu in your dashboard.
    2. Click on “Themes” to see the list of installed themes.

Step 4: Activate a Default Theme

    1. Activate a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty or Twenty Twenty-One. To do this, click the “Activate” button on the default theme you want to use.
    2. Check your website to see if the issue is resolved. If it is, your original theme may be causing the problem.

    Hi, @samdesmet.

I’m glad you were able to find our the conflict between GiveWP and WPMeteor.

When it comes to GiveWP, we really want to make sure your experience is as smooth as possible, so we advise against minifying, optimizing, or merging GiveWP’s scripts. These scripts play a crucial role in processing donations, and they need to load in a specific order to ensure all the necessary information gets sent to the payment gateway without any hiccups.

Unfortunately, if you go ahead and optimize, minify, or merge these scripts, it could potentially lead to some issues with GiveWP and even cause disruptions in the donation process or form malfunctions.

In this particular situation, we genuinely discourage any attempts to minify, optimize, or merge the code.

We kindly ask you to double-check and make sure that this optimization tool isn’t causing any conflicts with GiveWP. It’s all about ensuring your donation system runs smoothly! 😊

Thanks for using GiveWP! Have a great day.

    Hi, @crisbrand.

    Glad you reached out.

If by fundraiser you mean a specific donation form, then you can do it using the example @photomaldives shared.

On the other hand, if you meant the peer-to-peer fundraisers, then we do not have a way to display donations from a specific fundraisers. We have some options related to peer-to-peer here, though: https://givewp.com/documentation/add-ons/peer-to-peer-fundraising/peer-to-peer-shortcodes/.

    Hi, @benginear.

    Glad you reached out.

We’ve seen this issue before when you put the PayPal gateway in test mode and try to complete a sandbox transaction on the new donation form. In this case, you need to disconnect and connect PayPal again.

However, there’s a funny thing with disconnecting from PayPal. You have to disconnect from your sandbox PayPal account only when GiveWP is in Test Mode (you can enable that at Donations >> Settings >> Payment Gateways), and only disconnect from the live account when GiveWP is in Live Mode. Could that be the issue here?

If not, you might be running into an issue we had in the past. We fixed it but we also created a workaround. We made a screencast showing you how to resolve it in the meantime. The password to view the screencast is “PayPal” (no quotes, but capitalization matters) https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c3Q3qOVOGCs

The video talks about being unable to disconnect from PayPal but the same process will fix your issue.

    Important notes from the screencast:

    1. The SQL Buddy plugin is super powerful, and you can really mess up your site if you don’t know what you’re doing. Have a backup ready if you’re unsure about things.
    2. If you are in GiveWP test mode, the option you are looking to remove is give_paypal_commerce_sandbox_account but if you are not in test mode, it’s give_paypal_commerce_live_account
    3. The table you should be looking at is the wp_options table. Your site may have a different prefix than wp_.

I suggest you back up first, just in case. Before taking any steps for troubleshooting or updating, I highly recommend taking a good backup of the site you can confidently restore from. Having a backup of your site is essential to a solid workflow, and will allow you to restore to a previous version of the site if you run into any issues. You can read more about our top recommendations for taking a backup here: https://givewp.com/backup-for-faster-troubleshooting/
