Yes you are right the officially WP Download Monitor is not supported and developed but the latest version of it is still available for at WordPress site and we continue working with it.

From what we know so far from our own and other user experience, this might happen if you are missing the following line in the footer.php file of your template:

Email Before Download export feature only deals with its own log and db tables and not CF7.Forum: Plugins

Thanks for your kind words about our plugin and the information about the new version of Download monitor. The developer says that it’s a complete rewrite of the plugin and they haven’t even decided whether it will be a version 4 or 1.0. If it’s a version 1.0, that means it will be a new plugin. Once it’s in wordpress registry, we might consider adding support to it.
By the way, we are not sure about the issues that you face with our plugin. Are those issues only relate to the v.4 of Download Monitor, or there is something else in the current version that prevents you from using it?Forum: Plugins

Did you manage to resolve the issue? Does plugin work when it(maybe specify what “it” is for clarification purposes, do you mean cURL or EBD?) is not activated?
Also, could you provide test page to it?
