What you do you mean by saying “contact form works correctly”?
Does it mean that when you test Contact Form 7 separately you don’t have this issue with appending “#wpcf7-f4572-p2661-o1” at the end of the URL?hi kcfx1,
It looks like IE is getting “better” and “better” with time and with each next release…

At least now we know the it for us. We can’t say why previously the emails have not been tracked.

We tested it and from our point of view it works as expected. It didn’t let us to download the file until we filled an email field in the form.

We doubt that this is hackers attack. When we log the sent information we are assuming that you use the default email field in the Contact Form 7, i.e., [‘your-email’]. If you didn’t remove this field from that form then it should be saved to data base.Hi fsottile,

That sounds strange. The latest version of Download Monitor is forcing download by default, so you don’t have to specify this attribute anywhere.

Downgrading WP doesn’t make sense. We have tested that with the latest versions everything and don’t have this issue.
Are you able to send emails from other plugins in your installation of WP? For example, you could install and test WP-Mail-SMTP plugin.Hi fsottile,
Probably we should give more clarifications on the feature that we added following the suggestion of kmchew. It looks like we didn’t inform properly the users about that addition.
So, if you need to implement a scenario described at the start of this thread. All you have to do is to add to your CF7 form one of the these tags <ebd /> or <ebd_left />. Then in your post you have to acreate a shortcode similar to this:
[email-download download_id=”5, 12″ contact_form_id=”4″ checked=”no” hidden_form=”yes”]
Please notice the new attribute and its value hidden_form=”yes”.Hi forkenbrock,

We have just tested Send Email option of Email Before Download plugin with a couple of Gmail accounts and had no issues with those.
It looks like you have some issue with the environment where your wordpress is installed.
When you say the emails are not coming through, are you talking only about emails generated by our plugin when you select “Send Email” option, or you also do not receive the emails to your gmail admin account when user submits the form?Forum: Plugins
