But seriously, big deal wordpress is great and as with anything people release ( windows anybody?) there will be bugs, and then there will be bug fixes, then they will make an entirely new version, with more features, and different bugs. It’s a never ending process.
But last time i looked wordpress was free and you get what what you pay for, but in wordpress’ case, you get more than what you dont pay for, so shut the fuck up and you pull your finger out and fix it yourself if your so damn freaking awesome.

Unable to create directory /(my dir’s)/wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
Back to Image UploadingSo if things dont have to be CHMODed then whats the solution?

I’ve had problems with sucky hosts before, really pissed me off.
i’ve jsut re-installed wordpress with fantastico instead of my useual upload it all myself and have no more problems. dont know why this happens, the directory it’s trying to fidn is there and so’s the file, but i dotn really like the WYSIWYG editor anyway.
Using firefox 1.5 by the way.

In reply to: I need wordpress installation sql filei had a similar problem when trying to install wordpress, due to the restrictions set on my server i couldnt install the useual way. If you have a C-panel with an automatic script installer try seeing if wordpress is included with that, i used fantastico to install mine.

In reply to: Uploaded images becomes corruptis there an option to change the upload type in mars edit, i’ve never used it personally, but if images arent uploaded in binary format it seems to corrupt them a bit. you should also upload wordpress files in ASCII, jsut a note 😉

I would like, the first post on each catagory page, to be the post that is both from under that catagory AND under the headline or subheadline catagory, As an example
On the “entertainment” catagory page the article placed at the top, will be under the catagory “entertainment” and “subheadline”or “headline.
Hopefully that explains it better, Any help would be appreciated thanks.
