uh, the code is right there, fix it yourself if you’re in such a hurry. Otherwise shut your pie hole and wait.

I didnt make it and place it on the market.. and then rave how good it was.. lol..

if your going to put something out.. put out something that works.. or shut your pie hole and dont release it..

    — serious —

All joking aside, the “make it perfect or don’t release it” stance doesn’t work very often. Companies (and even open source projects) have to worry about the competition releasing a version with newer/better features.

So there’s a balance that has to be made between being the first to market, and being the best in the market (note the old beta vs. vhs wars).

    — not serious —

Anyway, if you are not happy with the quality of the code, you can always call their 800 number that was sent to you when you bought the software… oh wait, you didn’t pay them anything for the code.

Well maybe you can email the technical mailing lists and see what the progress is. I’m sure they’ll let you know since you’ve contributed patches before… oh wait, you didn’t contribute any code, not even a theme ?

Hmmm, well I think the support people here have some behind-the-scenes connections. With all the contributions you’ve made to the support forum somebody should be able to ask a question FOR you… oh wait, you’ve only been asking questions (rudely) and never helped anyone else out in these forums ?

    oh.

    🙁

Shiner – how rude you are. WordPress is FREE. The application we can download FREE and run FREE is developed with the good will of coders who donate their spare time to working on it, for no commercial gain. WordPress is NOT placed on the market, because there is no charge for it. It’s freely available. Big difference.

Good will should not be kicked in the face. I’ve downloaded WP2 and yes, I’ve found some problems with it, but I’m hardly likely to complain about something which I got FREE. I’m extremely grateful for the product they’ve made available to me, which I don’t have to pay for. I’m not a coder, I can’t fix the version 2 bugs, so all I can do is wait in hope for the people who put so much time and effort into this project to iron out the bugs in their own good time.

I suggest you do the same.

    Shiner25, you just got served.

But seriously, big deal wordpress is great and as with anything people release ( windows anybody?) there will be bugs, and then there will be bug fixes, then they will make an entirely new version, with more features, and different bugs. It’s a never ending process.

But last time i looked wordpress was free and you get what what you pay for, but in wordpress’ case, you get more than what you dont pay for, so shut the fuck up and you pull your finger out and fix it yourself if your so damn freaking awesome.

VaamYob’s post was such an elegant “closure” to this thread!
(too bad we didn’t locked it at that time…)

    😉

    Agreed….
