how to get the wysiwyg editor to work?

  • I’ve successfully upgraded to wordpress 2 and was looking forward to rich text editing using tinyMCe (I’m already using this editor in my own handbuilt CMS)…

But it doesn’t work? it doesn’t seem to load. All its files from the zip are installed on the server in wp-includes/js/tinymce/ but when I load my “write posts” admin page tinyMCE doesn’t load – and my browser (MSIE 6) shows the javascript error: “tinyMCE is undefined”.

I’ve toggled wysiwyg editing on and off, but to no avail…

any clues how to get this to work? I’m sorry to ask here, but I struggled to find an answer in the FAQs etc.
