    lambertini we had a look into this further and can confirm there is something peculiar happening with permalinks and the use of index.php

    We will look into this as quickly as possible. I have submitted an issue and you can follow up with it’s progress here https://github.com/wp-e-commerce/WP-e-Commerce/issues/1126

    I’ve never seen a WordPress site using index.php in the permalinks.

    Check the trouble-shooting tips at the Permalinks page.

    If your permalinks don’t work without index.php in them (AKA “Almost Pretty” permalinks) then you may need to work with your host to resolve the issue.

    Ah I may have an answer for you about this. CIM requires a customer to be registered and logged in to your site. If you are not requiring them to be registered and logged in it will fail.

    <img src=”http://dl.dropbox.com/u/151891/screenshots/2014-04-17_1957.png”&gt;

    Have a look and make sure they are logged in.

    To be safest yes that would be the best. Although I have cheated and skipped every other one myself. I’ve also in the past upgraded to the last in a major point release then the first of the next point release such as if I start with 3.8.8.5 I update to 3.8.8.13 then 3.9 soon to be released in case you’re wondering 😉

    If you have many complicated variation or categories it might be best to take the slower route and do each one to ensure database updates.

    It shouldn’t take all that long to do each one just to be on the safe side

    First make 100% certain your A.net account is CIM enabled they aren’t by default. Contact A.net and make sure.

    If you are 100% positive you have a CIM enabled account next make sure your account settings are correct LIVE vs TESTING

    Lastly you might need to open the payment module and have it var dump out wha it’s returning from the gateway. If you’re unsure how to do this you might want to open a support topic here http://getshopped.org/resources/premium-support/

    Personally on all my shops. If I fall behind in upgrades I do it incrementally upgrading to each major point release making sure everything still works and all database updates are run.

    1. backup everything

    2. asses if you have anything custom (payment modules, shipping modules, 3rd party add ons) These may not always remain compatible if the author has not kept them up to date.

    3. clone the store to a staging / testing site NEVER upgrade your live, functional, working store this is just asking for trouble…

    when upgrading if you find issues it sometimes helps to switch to a default wordpress theme such as 2010 – 2012 and disable non store related plugins. This will help you identify if it’s theme or plugin related conflicts.

    Be sure any time you change your theme you go to store settings Presentation tab and clear the template cache.

    also go to permalinks and click save just to make sure they are in sync.

    Hope this helps

    Additionally trying to help you.

    Your site is loading jquery multiple times…

    once here on line 1101
    <script type=’text/javascript’ src=’http://horsegulchblog.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.11.0′></script&gt;

    and again here on line 17
    <script src=”http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.2.6/jquery.min.js&#8221; type=”text/javascript”></script>

    This is 100% going to break you site and store and many other plugins anything that uses javascript. This also would need to be fixed before we can even begin to look at other issues as it will absolutely cause conflicts and problems.

    If you correct these errors you might find that your support questions won’t be needed since they more than likely will be resolved with the site fixed.

    We are not going to keep debating our methods. I’m not attacking you… by your questions and attitude I come to the conclusion you need a lot of assistance more than support can provide.

    Thank you for finally providing a link to your site.

    I can see you are adding the images to the product description this is not correct. You are only attaching the image to the post. It will appear in the product where it is supposed to appear. As I showed you in the video I sent.

    Now the reason we ask to access the site is to help identify errors and conflicts.
    It’s extremely difficult to fix something that is broken or not operating the way it’s supposed to be due to conflicts.

    Just from looking at the URL product page you provided the console reveals 29 javascript errors. Please see image <img src=”http://dl.dropbox.com/u/151891/screenshots/2014-04-17_0712.png”&gt;
    These errors can be due to theme or plugin conflicts. There is little point to doing anything else until all those errors are resolved since any one of them can be contributing to why your shop isn’t working as you expect it to.

    Once again… if you would like our assistance please respond to your premium topic with a valid admin account so that we are able to debug your shop and get you the help you’re asking for.

    We have responded to you multiple times on your premium support topic.

    1. You refuse to provide proper details to login to your store. Part of premium support is that we check for conflicts and other issues with your store it is impossible to help you if you refuse to allow us to assist you. As I mentioned in your support topic. You don’t go to a mechanic with your car and ask him to tell you what’s wrong without letting him look at the car. You won’t even give us the URL to you site.

    2. It is not support job to *teach you* how to use WordPress. Your question is about adding images. I provided a video for you how to add images because I wanted to help you out but you simply don’t fully understand the use of WordPress. We aren’t able to hold your hand and teach you the basics.

    I have also explained that if you need very specific hand holding type help you should possibly hire a consultant that can work with you privately.

    We are more than willing to assist you further but you will need to provide at the very least your URL to your site and a working admin account. (PLEASE DO NOT PROVIDE THAT HERE POST IT TO YOUR PREMIUM TOPIC)

    Hindsight is a lovely thing. There are a lot of would have, should have, could haves here.
    The issue has been identified and is addressed in the version about to be released. We are working night and day to resolve the 40 something issues remaining on the list before going live. We have a small team sorry for the delay in delivery. If you want to beta test or preview the version soon to be released or would like to help out with testing to get it out the door sooner you could install the plugin “wpec betatester” you can install from the wordpress plugin admin this will allow you to run the master branch currently in development and see updates each time there is a new push.

    Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

    With a clean install using only the store plugin and default theme I am unable to produce this result. Please check by switching to a default wordpress theme such as 2010 and be sure to clear the store template cache on the presentation settings tab before testing.

    Edward

    (@edwardinstinct)

    You are able to alter the checkout template by using the store presentation settings to clone a copy of the checkout file into your current theme. Flush the template cache and then make your changes to the checkout page within your theme.

    If shipping is enabled the checkout calculator is already required and you are unable to complete checkout without entering details.

    Hope this helps
