Hi @moreaujuli1
Jetpack doesn’t have permission to change your folders’ CHMOD. If that occurred, it was at the hosting level and not with our plugin.
I am glad that it was solved.
Let me know if you have any questions.
My best regards,
Michelle
Jetpack is not connected to your site. That means we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file, which is needed for our connection:
* https://tortugaaudio.com/xmlrpc.php?for=jetpack
The link above must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.You can see a working example here: http://jetpack.me/xmlrpc.php
Since your site returns an error for this page, please check the following:
* Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP (if you’re not sure what this means, please ask your hosting customer support for a hand)? If you don’t, then please try re-installing WordPress. You can do this by going to the Dashboard → Upgrades page, then clicking the “Reinstall WordPress” button.
* Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file. Again, if you’re not sure what this means, your host customer support should be able to lend a hand.
* Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your hosting support and ask them to allow Jetpack to access xmlrpc.php.
Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, you should be able to connect Jetpack to WordPress.com:

Let me know if you have any questions.
My best regards,
Michelle
Regarding your questions:
> Using the module with the classic editor: The documentation states that the classic editor will show Markdown syntax when the HTML/text tab is shown. How will the content be stored if Jetpack gets removed or the Markdown module is deactivated; Will the content stay in Markdown or is it saved as HTML in the database?
If you deactivate the module, the code will remain as HTML saved in the database.
> Markdown block in the Gutenberg editor: This block seems very interesting. I read about this in the documentation and that got the following questions while I thought of cases where I could use it:
1. How will Markdown be stored if Jetpack or the Markdown module is deactivated?The same way that the markdown code for Classic editor.
> 2. Would it be possible to convert regular blocks into markdown formatting? That would help some users who want to go all-in on Markdown but have used HTML or a more visual style while composing content to see and use Markdown.At this moment, only if you convert all the content manually.
> I have seen an abandoned plugin that converted all posts and pages to Markdown and stored the contents as HTML in the database. That made editing even old content super easy and focus was at the content not on coding or HTML.We do not recommend using outdated third-party plugins. You can contact the developer and see about updates.
> 3. When writing in the code editor while having the Gutenberg editor active I see that Markdown can be typed directly into this edit field. How is this different than if I used the classic editor? Will this functionality still exist if the classic editor is unsupported at some point? Does this way of using Markdown rely on the block Markdown parser or the MarkdownPHPXtra parser that was previously used?This function (writing the block tag to add to the editor) is available on the blocks editor only. For Classic editor, you can check https://jetpack.com/support/markdown-classic-editor/#writing-with-markdown
> 4. Is the following case a feature or a bug? I tried to write some Markdown and clicked on the options and clicked on copy all content. When I pasted the copied content into my text editor of choice I saw something I didn’t expect: I saw both intern WP-coding, then my Markdown and lastly the result of my Markdown as HTML.
I have pasted a sample where I just wrote a few paragraphs and very basic formatting to illustrate what I see. I just expected the Markdown to be copied. Can I do this another way without using the mouse but still get all content copied as Markdown only?Usually, copy and paste works with the markdown function. For block editor, you can save the content as a new reusable block and add it to the other page. Here you can find how to proceed: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/reusable-block/#edit-a-reusable-block
And there is this plugin at our Repository that could meet your needs: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-githuber-md/ – note that this is a third-party plugin and you should test it in a staging environment first.
Here you can find more information about Markdown usage:

Jetpack generates broken cached images on the fly. If it’s not then something isn’t translating properly from the site to Jetpack.
Could you send over screenshots showing the issues, so we will know what is breaking so we can use it for troubleshooting, please?
I recommend https://snipboard.io/ for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in this email. It works with Chrome and Firefox.
Once we hear back from you we can take another look. If you have any questions we’ll be happy to help!
Hi @abadesco
We primarily provide support in English. So, for now, I’ll be replying in English, but you can respond to me in your language and I’ll enter your messages into Google Translate, I hope that’s ok.
We checked your site and we are getting the following connection timeout error:
cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 millisecondsThis means the xmlrpc.php or this site itself is either taking way too long to load and Jetpack is giving up, or we are getting blocked by your host and/or a security plugin. Jetpack, the WordPress mobile apps, and some other plugins and services use xmlrpc.php file to communicate with your site, but some hosts block connection requests to that file.
To fix this issue, please do the following:
1. Allowlist Jetpack’s IP range
If your host, or a security plugin you’ve installed, only offers XML-RPC access by allowlisting IP addresses, then they will need to allowlist the IP addresses listed here:
* https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-add-jetpack-ips-allowlist/
Please note that these IP addresses could change (or more could be added) at any time. For that reason, we recommend your host uses the machine-readable versions of these IP ranges in JSON or plain text format to automate configuration changes on their systems.
2. Contact your hosting provider/developer about making your site more efficient
Your site is currently loading extremely slow at the moment, to the point that even performance testing tool like GTmetrix is showing errors:
* https://gtmetrix.com/reports/emporioabadesco.com.br/ZnX6ipD3/
There are many factors causing Connection timeout errors that can only be controlled and fixed by your hosting company. For instance, if their DNS servers are unable to resolve requests in a timely manner, then this will cause cURL requests to timeout.
Another scenario could be slower connectivity or networking issues with your hosting server.
I recommend contacting your hosting provider’s support to discuss potential hosting environment issues leading to timeout errors and slow speed of your site.
You can reach your hosting support at: https://www.hostinger.com/contacts
Let me know if you have any questions.

Michelle

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack Transport ErrorHi @andrerbell
This typically means that you are trying to connect Jetpack too soon after registering a new domain or making changes to your DNS.
In both cases, you must allow at least 24 to 72 hours between your changes and when you try to connect Jetpack. If you are still seeing this error after 72 hours, check your URL at whois.domaintools.com and make sure that only the updated Name Servers are listed.
If your old Name Servers are listed, log in to your DNS manager and remove them.
Let me know if you have any questions.
