Oh, that’s unexpected indeed. Could you please share a screenshot of WP-Admin > Plugins? Or can you at least double-check that both MailPoet and MailPoet Premium are deactivated? I assume that you have already checked that but I need to make sure.

We have already reported this issue to our developers and they are working on a fix. It seems that some themes are conflicting with MailPoet and it prevents the Close button from loading.
In the meantime, you can add this snippet of CSS code to your site to see if works:
.mailpoet_form_close_icon, .mailpoet_form_close_icon { 2 padding: 0; 3}You should add that to the “Additional CSS” section in your Customizer under Appearance > Customize. Let us know if it works!

But when I move subscribers to the new list, they’re not receiving the welcome email.
Ohh, I see, please note that Welcome Emails are not sent when:
- subscribers are imported;
- an admin does batch actions in the subscriber’s listings.
So that’s probably why they are not being sent for you. You can find out more here.
Having said that, you could achieve something similar with the new Automation feature in MailPoet.
It will allow you to add a subscriber to a list based on a condition, and also to trigger emails to them (in the same way as Welcome Email).
Please give that a try and open-up a new thread if you need help!

Mhhh that’s odd there’s no MailPoet 7.4.0 we are still a few versions below that.
Can you please download it from https://wordpress.org/plugin/mailpoet/ and see if works?
If that doesn’t work, your hosting support should be able to check the PHP logs and shed some light on the issue.
