Hi @chadmohr
The editor can’t upload files to protect with s2Member. You need to FTP them to the /wp-confing/plugins/s2member-files/ folder.
🙂
Hi Alan.
It’s not included in s2Member, but I have seen a 3rd party plugin that adds that payment gateway, though.

Thank you very much for the update and feedback, Darren! 🙂
Hi vonJanne.
Thank you! I’m very glad s2Member is helping you. Please rate it here if you have a minute. https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/s2member/reviews/#new-post
s2Member Pro has a login widget you can use like that, but others would work too. https://s2member.com/kb-article/s2member-login-shortcode-documentation/
s2Member doesn’t manage the login sessions, those are handled by WordPress. Any login form that integrates with WP would be enough. Whether from the theme or another plugin…
I hope that helps! 🙂

Hi Pamela.
Maybe you can try it here: WP Admin > s2Member > General Options > Login/Registration Design > Footer
Add your <script> block there, with the proper selector for the submit button.
I hope that helps. 🙂
Hi @proflclub
I haven’t used any 2FA plugins myself, so can’t recommend one in particular…
Login sessions are managed by WordPress, though. s2Member checks if the person is logged in or not, but the one that sets that status is WP. So any 2FA plugin that works with WP, should be fine, theoretically. Once they do the authentication and get logged in, s2Member will see them logged in.
Have you done further testing? Got a 2FA plugin that worked for you?
🙂
I’m very glad you got it working great. Thank you very much for the update! 🙂
hi @dval09
Yes, it’s still maintained. Actually, a new release is on its way this week. Yes, compatible with the latest WP.
It’s not a problem to use those other plugins. You can integrate s2Member to protect content served by WordPress. See: https://demo.s2member.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ws-plugin–s2member-res-ops
Just test it, the Framework is free. Pro will add new ways to sell the access and other nice tools, but the restrictions feature is in the Framework.
I hope that helps. 🙂
Hi Darren.
Sorry for not noticing your question sooner.
I see you already tried the first things that came to mind to suggest.
Are you getting this with only some few random users, or generally with everyone? Can you find a common denominator between them? Did you figure out the steps to reproduce the behavior?
After the 30 mins ban, are they able to login, or they just don’t recover access at all? Are they still not able to login after you reset the restriction, or they do but then trigger it again on next login?
I look forward to your update. 🙂
Hi François,
Now, it’s not normal for it to not work. I’ll look into that. Thanks for letting me know.
It’d be better if you ask the presale question in our community forum, since this one is for the Framework only and goes against the wordpress.org policy to talk about Pro here.
Or email me to sales at wpsharks dotcom.
I look forward to your questions. 🙂
Thanks for the udpate.
So what you’re saying is that each link works the first time, but not a second time?
It’s very weird that the payment link would break after a use. I haven’t seen this behavior reported before…
Are you caching that page? can you disable it and try to reproduce the behavior?
I see you’re using output “url”. Have you tried “button” to see if that makes any difference in the behavior?
Can you test for plugin conflicts? Deactivate other plugins and test again. Ideally you could test with just s2Member active. Does the behavior change?
Keep logging enabled while you troubleshoot, in case we can get an entry with extra info when it fails.
I look forward to your update.
Happy 2020! 🙂
Hi Nick.
Did you use the s2 shortcode for PayPal buttons? Could you paste here the code you’re using?
With logging enabled, when you reproduce the behavior, do you see any new related entries in the logs? Could you show me? WP Admin > s2Member > Log Files
What is your setting for PayPal button encryption in s2’s options, and what is your setting in your PayPal account’s options for it?
🙂
Not exactly like that. There are a couple of things that you could use to achieve something close to what you said:
One is the Specific Post/Page restriction, which allows you to protect content and sell its access, without requiring the person to register an account. The authentication is in the access link itself. This is not generated by the user, it’s created by s2Member for that particular purchase. The link can be shared, and anyone with that link can access the protected content (within the unique IPs limit you set in your s2 configuration). See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPk8K6SR8No&list=PLED64B278374AB72F
There’s also the redemption codes in s2Member Pro, which you can use to generate codes that the user then shares with others to signup their own accounts with the access you gave to those codes. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3N_vygowbM
I hope that helps. 🙂
Hi @dessie1994
Could you explain your setup? Did you check the encryption settings mentioned earlier?
Have you enabled logging? What do the logs say after a test where you get that message? WP Admin > s2Member > Log Files
🙂
